Happy Independence Day, Armenia! 🇦🇲

Dr. Hasmik Kyureghyan, Head of Educational Programs at AMAA, presented at #ECER2026 in Finland. Her research explored how journal clubs help novice early childhood teachers connect research with practice, reflect, and learn together supporting evidence-informed education.

AMAA’s Camp Hankavan is a modern, year-round camp and multi-purpose complex in the heart of Hankavan’s nature. Since 2003, it has welcomed over 55,000 children and reopened in 2025 following a complete renovation.

The first school bell rang for 75 students at Avedisian School, marking the start of a new academic year. Principal Sarine Khatchikian wished all the students a year of new beginnings, growth, and achievement.

For the second year, AMAA, in collaboration with “Tsili Tsov” Community Development NGO, is supporting Berd AgriFest. This year, participants of AMAA’s Revive and Tavush projects won the “Best Pavilion” award, showcasing locally produced goods from Tavush communities.

The camp days may be over, but the smiles and memories made here will stay with us for a long time. See you next year! 💚

Free-play activities are one of the children’s favorite parts of the day at Camp Hankavan. Biking, skateboarding, jumping rope, football, badminton… everyone chooses their favorite activity, filling the playground with movement, laughter, and friendly competition.

“When I first walked into Avedisian School’s hallways, I was anxious about what could go wrong, but life had a better plan. This place didn’t just give me education — it taught me how to set goals, and believe that everything is possible with God.” Ani Martirosyan, Graduate
