Let’s take the time to connect with ourselves today as we prepare to commune with others.

I feel so grateful that 100% of the work I do at this point in my life is fuelled by love.
Everything I work on or create lately is, in some way, a response to the things I see myself and the people I care about struggling with and it makes it so easy to get up in the mornings.
My freakin’ heart is bursting with gratitude for all you amazing people I’ve connected with here on X.
You've been so uplifting, inspiring and welcoming of what friends and family call my weird and wacky self!
Thank you for making me feel so seen.
When I joined Amazon, I felt out of place surrounded by so many smart, driven and insanely competitive people.
But within a few months, I was asked to chair a number of committees and spearhead various projects focused on employee engagement.
Instead of following my colleagues' playbooks, I decided to be 100% me.
To genuinely connect with them:
I had deep, heartfelt conversations with our employees, taught them breathing exercises, volunteered alongside them, shot TikToks together, sang karaoke at the cafeteria and dressed up in crazy costumes for them.
Little did I know after posting this video to promote one of our employee initiatives, our HR manager shared it in a company-wide meeting.
I later found out the Regional Director told hundreds of other attendees in the room, "This is the kind of highly engaged leader we want to have here at Amazon."
Instead of trying to fit in with the group, I allowed my playful, authentic self to be set free and express things my way.
And so should you.
Don't try to be like everyone else just to be accepted.
Brené Brown reminds us to "have the courage to stand alone, and to belong to yourself above all else."
So let's give others and ourselves the permission and space to show up in this world in our own strange and beautiful uniqueness - on X, at work, in our living rooms, in line at a taco stand, everywhere!
What both scares and excites me right now is the thought of moving to another country to live my dream life.
I lived in the Philippines for the first 25 years of my life.
I will have lived in the US for 20 years by 2024.
Don't get me wrong. I love my life!
But uncertainty and discomfort bring about tons of growth.
So which country should I get uncomfortable in? ✈️
I'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions!
What is the one word that terrifies you?
I'll go first: STAGNATION
This was the theme of my life for the longest time.
And for many years, my health, my relationships and my career suffered because I got comfortable playing small.
Make a fiery commitment to personal growth.
Don't sleepwalk your way through life like I did.
I love dreamers!
Perhaps I'm a bit biased because I'm an ENFP (my MBTI) and we are all about possibilities, but this is what life is about.
Align with the truth of who you are and your dreams will become reality.
“Do not let anything that happens in life be important enough that you’re willing to close your heart over it.” - Michael A. Singer
Laid off at work? Keep heart open.
Cut off by a rude driver? Keep heart open.
Betrayed by your partner? Keep heart open.
Lost a loved one to cancer? Keep heart open.
Overwhelmed by the world at war? Keep heart open.
No matter the scale of the crisis, you have a choice.
Your heart stays open by never allowing any emotional experience – from low level irritation to feelings of frustration, anger, fear, injustice, guilt, shame, all the way to paralyzing grief, to ever close your heart.
The reward of staying open?
You will feel love and energy flow through you like you’ve never experienced before.
Your life will be filled with peace, exhilaration and joy.
“If you strive only to avoid the darkness or to cling to the light, you cannot live in balance. Try striving to be conscious of all that you are.”
This is me crumbling to the floor after certain CrossFit workouts.
It's the kind of pain you experience that makes you question your entire existence.
I know many people can relate to the feeling of not wanting to go to the gym or avoiding having to exercise altogether.
But who are we kidding? This is about avoiding hard things.
So when I checked out today's extra spicy workout on my phone, I wanted to crawl back under the sheets.
But I reminded myself: It is usually in our resistance where we find growth. Of all kinds. Muscular and beyond.
So...
Drop the habit of complaining and focusing on the negative.
Let go of your inner resistance to things that ultimately benefit you.
Immerse yourself completely in the present moment.
Yes, even if that moment calls for nearly 300 reps of burpees, barbell movements, box jumps and wallballs.
There's so much talk of social proof on X.
I even felt I had to disclose my net worth to gain credibility when I spoke about certain topics.
The world is obsessed with bank account balances, corporate ladders, square footage, horsepower and follower count.
The funny thing is, I simply want my tombstone to read this when I die:
"She made others feel seen, accepted and loved exactly as they are."

There are days we feel blah.
That doesn't mean we can't do quality work, amazing work, actually.
There's not much of a correlation between feeling great and doing great work. When we're acting out of clarity, our inner genius takes over no matter what our mood is.
