anyone think we won't get q3 #s in an S-1/A?
all you need to know: Anthropic ducked Q3 in its S-1. that omission tells you all you need. demand has drop, economics havenโ€™t gotten worse. and a company that is allegedly built around trust is trying to skirt the truth. โ€”- quote is from @zerohedge

Opus 5.5 cut cost per task by ~40% against Opus 5. The bet is that cheaper intelligence drives more usage, not less revenue.

K-shaped child outcomes along class lines post-iPad
We have already seen a defection from the traditional WASP elite idea that it was an elite duty to hold the population to high educational standards, for the betterment of the entirety of society. This has led to stupidity. AI will make it worse. I predict that High IQ well off functional people will form communities to protect themselves from sloppification, while everyone degenerates into this numb, sterile mass of jellyfishness. A Snow Crash-like scenario. And the "well intentioned" will clap like seals, supporting the lowering of standards, much like what we've seen for the last decades, which will affect the masses and not already privileged the most.

I have just spoken by phone with the leaders of the Students' List @studentblokade, who won the elections in Serbia, to congratulate them on their victory. I assured them of Hungaryโ€™s support. I was delighted to hear how much strength our victory in April had given them during this difficult struggle.

Calls victims who fight because they donโ€™t want to die helplessly "warmongers". How dare Ukraine refuse occupation and subjugation and disturb profitable deals with the genocidal Russian regime!
May the bloodthirsty warmongers, who push for a war that never ends, burn in hell!

Proud of our CON reform in RI. More supply to lower healthcare costs. Exempts home health, behavioral health, imaging & ASCs; CapEx threshold now 50M, and more. โ€œRhode Island enacted the most sweeping Certificate of Need repeal of any state during the 2026 legislative session.โ€

No, @elonmusk, the U.S. stopped funding Ukraine last year. In fact, U.S. companies make money on American weapons for which we Europeans pay. The more you meddle in our politics and the more you play politics with your products, the more you damage your brand.
Replying to @elonmusk
And some of that US taxpayer money comes back through multiple laundry machines to fund political campaigns in America, which is why you see some politicians caring more about Ukraine than America!

A wild story: the CEO of a US energy company whose plans were discussed during the Witkoff-Kushner-Putin negotiations resigns. Why? He learned that his company's main investor is a sanctioned Russian company, not the UAE nytimes.com/2026/10/23/us/poโ€ฆ

Yes, exactly
Very useful insight from a portfolio founder: VCs are using Granola and feeding notes into a poorly prompted version of Claude to evaluate and pick apart what founders are saying mid-pitch. The frustrating thing is that AI tends toward groupthink...so "trends" on the internet (whether true or not) color how VCs respond even more today than historically. This founder is tracking those sometimes unfounded trends and turns of phrase and ensuring he rebuts them right out of the gate.
