And our second baby is live too!! Proud of this one 🥹
It's almost here! Come join us, SF friends!

Fantastic demo @r_o_connor!!
It's time to move your AI agents to the cloud.
Qencode built one for customer support triage. A request comes in, the agent wakes up, reads it, and files the ticket properly. @r_o_connor shows you how to build one just like it.
Bring the harness, model, and tools you already use. We run them.

Thought this was helpful to learn about (cheaper) alternatives to leaning on tool calls for everything.
Your agent calls a tool and gets back 20 JSON records, but it only needed one of them. Where do the other 19 go? Into the context window, of course, and you’ll re-send them on every remaining turn.
Use code sandboxes instead, and you use 129,021 tokens instead of 268,438 for the same task.

One of the biggest releases from DigitalOcean this year. This solution is super robust, flexible and easy to use. Highly recommeded to try for everyone!
.@qencode built a support-triage agent on Managed Agents. Their agent reads each incoming request, weighs urgency, sentiment, and account value, then opens or updates a Jira ticket, and kicks anything it isn't sure about to a human. Qencode CEO @muradmordukhay reports that the new agent took 1 day to complete and is saving up to a full day per week.
Go @amit go!! I will watch any video this man makes.
Our Staff Developer Advocate @amit took DigitalOcean Managed Agents for a spin.
He made up a coworking company called Atrium, then set it up the way a real team works: a backlog in @Linear, a handbook in @Notion, a channel in @SlackHQ, a repo on @github. Then he handed an agent one ticket and left it alone.
It came back with a pull request, and a problem nobody had asked it to look for.
As soon as we added @ExaAILabs during our Action Gateway private preview, internal employee usage of web search as a tool SHOT up. That is how useful and intuitive Exa is for agents.
Our baby is live!!
DigitalOcean Managed Agents is now in public preview.
Run Claude Code, Codex, or your own LangGraph agent in a runtime environment that pauses when idle. Put its tools behind one governed endpoint, and pick from 75+ open and proprietary models. One cloud, one bill.

The dotcom equivalent of companies that make no money is companies that ship no value, in either product or messaging, because no human is allowed to check for real value before it goes out. The end result here is also that it won’t make money. Just give it time.
I am done with this shit. It is over. The state of engineering right now is horrible. It has been half a month since I started a new role at a big company. Nobody knows anything here. The specs, code, tests, PRDs, tickets, resolution of those tickets, reports, etc., everything is made by Claude Code. Nobody on my team likes this. They are being forced to ship as much as they can. I have heard multiple times from higher management that pushing code is not a bottleneck, so why are we slow? People are working 12 to 13 hours a day just to press enter. Nobody is reading anything. Humans in corporate are doing nothing on their own. Everyone, literally everyone, from an L1 to an L7 engineer here is doing the same thing. Talk to Claude. There is no sense of victory. Nobody is resolving bugs. In reality, nobody is thinking anymore. Everything is done by LLMs. It is so soul-sucking. I would not mind it, to be honest, if we were at least given the time to check out the code and see what is going where. But no, the goal is to just ship. No matter what happens.

Run DigitalOcean Managed Agent Runtime Services (M.A.R.S.) from inside @herdrdev. 🐏
Developer advocate @amit shows how: local and cloud runs in one list, attach to a live one and watch it work, start a new one without leaving the terminal.

Our developer advocate @amit planted a bug in a Flask app, deleted a todo, and walked away.
Managed Agents caught the crash, found the bug, wrote a test, fixed it, and opened a PR before he was back with a coffee.
Now in private preview. 🔗 do.co/4xxXMvv

A few months ago @Twilio shipped Twilio Agent Connect, an easy way for devs to create voice-powered agents that integrate with enterprise systems.
I took their TS SDK for a spin and built a First Notice of Loss (FNOL) demo that uses Twilio & @OpenAI to power a rich voice experience and @Box as the system of record and workflow engine for the claims process.

Currently building my first multi-agent setup for a real problem I want to solve, and it's making me appreciate the value of something like @mem0ai more and more.

Alibaba dropped Qwen 3.8 last week, and it's now on @DigitalOcean Serverless Inference.
The thing that got my attention is the context window, hundreds of thousands of tokens in one pass. Basically a whole codebase.
So I threw an entire repo at it.
