Well done to our pupils who have recently received certificates & super cool trophies in their sports clubs they attend out of school.
We even have a published author who was recently awarded as Runner Up in the Short Writing Category of @burnhambookfest 's Writing Competition.

A real pleasure working with this group at my Writing Nature workshop. We looked at examples of great nature writing, then applied some of the techniques to our own work - with stunning results! Thanks @burnhambookfest for inviting me to be part of your wonderful festival.

Such a high standard of submissions at @burnhambookfest competitions, so I bought the anthology. I've been reading extracts out loud to my friends. I love this winning poem called Flightless, from one of the younger age catagory winners.

Honoured to join the other shortlisted writers on stage this afternoon to hear that my poem, “Sweet Memory Sounds” (about the legendary DJ Derek), was Highly Commended. Thanks, @tcarkle & @burnhambookfest for a great experience. Writing is certainly thriving in our patch!
