Thanks for joining us, Elizabeth!
MAA Executive Director Elizabeth Burns-Thompson participated in the @ctic_tweet Conservation in Action Tour earlier this month.
Farmers rely on conservation practices to preserve topsoil, protect water quality, and build soil health. Critical crop protection tools help make this possible. Practices such as no-till allow farmers to reduce erosion and manage weeds.
Protecting these tools means protecting farmers’ ability to care for their land while continuing to grow the food, fuel, and fiber families rely on.

Zeb Winslow III, a farmer near Scotland Neck, N.C., shared about his cover crop mix and changes to his operation during the Conservation Technology Innovation Center tour last week.
Winslow has reduced his fertilizer and chemical inputs on his farm but cautions farmers against trying to make quick, wholesale changes because of high fertilizer prices.
