CPP mechanical engineering professor Reza Lakeh and nutrition and food science professor Belal Hasan will design, build and test a laboratory-scale thermal energy storage system for food processing thanks to a recent grant. Their innovative "thermal battery" is the key to this process.
Students will source produce from CPP's on campus farm, get hands-on research experience and even visit food manufacturers to observe dehydration processes.
