GOING AFTER DMA CHEATS
Ahead of DMZ Early Access earlier this week, we launched new RICOCHET Anti-Cheat detections targeting DMA cheats.
DMA, or Direct Memory Access, cheats use external hardware to access game information cheaters should never have, including information about opponents and their in-game locations.
By operating outside the PC running Call of Duty, DMA cheats are designed to evade traditional software-based protections.
WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED
DMA detection is another layer in RICOCHET Anti-Cheat toolset for Modern Warfare 4.
As cheat developers change their methods to try to evade detection, we’ll continue adapting ours.
DMZ Early Access is only the beginning. These protections will continue to evolve throughout Modern Warfare 4.
Use DMA hardware to cheat, and we will find you.
If you are still running into attestation issues, we just updated our secure attestation wizard to help address some of the more common problems players are running into : support.activision.com/artic…
AMD 3.x.0.x is currently the most common problem, while Lenovo users are reporting issues at higher rates than users of other manufacturers.
If you’re using a Lenovo device and can’t find the necessary BIOS update, Lenovo currently requires users to contact them directly. They have not made the update publicly available.
