Three nursery schools. Three hand-drawn logos. Zero shared identity...
We designed the Central Bristol Nursery Schools Federation a single logo, built from pieces of all three schools' own history.

Episode six of Difficult Conversations recorded 🎙️ Dr Ruoying Zhou on "publish or perish": how we all see everyone else's wins while the setbacks stay hidden, and why we need to normalise failure. Produced for the University of Leicester's I-REACCH project.

ALT A four-panel screenshot from a remote podcast recording session. Top left: host Dr Kike Ladipo in a pink top wearing earphones, smiling, in front of a pale blue wall with a lamp. Top right: host Dr Gez Williams in a white top beside a large studio microphone. Bottom centre: guest Dr Ruoying Zhou, in a beige jacket and glasses, sitting in an office with white shelving behind her. Bottom right: producer Ali Maggs in a yellow t-shirt, in front of a red backdrop with a microphone.
Yesterday we field-tested Onwords, our new voice-following teleprompter, on a real shoot for the University of Leicester's Institute for Policy 🎬 A full day of real presenters/conditions (construction noise included!) has already fed straight back into better voice tracking.
Most prompters scroll at a fixed speed, so you spend the whole take keeping up.
Onwords listens instead. Pause for emphasis, and the text just waits.
Coming soon for Windows.

New @MicrosoftStore app inbound! 🎬🎙️
We produce a lot of podcasts and videos, and most involve someone reading from a script. Every teleprompter app we tried wanted a subscription, scrolled at a fixed pace, or fell apart the moment a presenter ad-libbed.
So we built Onwords.
Onwords listens to you and follows your voice, rather than making you keep up with it. Pause and it waits. Stumble or ad-lib and it stays with you. Skip a section and it catches up.
It runs entirely on your own machine using Windows' built-in speech engine. No subscription.
It even handles two presenters, assign lines to each speaker, colour-coded on screen, with clean handovers.
Coming soon to Windows. 👇

Some of the best things we make start with our own annoyances.
We kept hitting the same problem on our own video shoots, something you'd assume someone must have solved by now. Turns out, not quite (close, but with flaws). So we built it ourselves.
More soon. 👀

Last week the Chaos Created team produced August's Adaptive Fitness Training Live Panel Webinar, "My Client has MS: What Do I Need to Know?", live on YouTube with real-time audience Q&A throughout.
From the production side: a live chat that never let up, questions from across the UK and as far as China, and half a CIMSPA CPD point for everyone watching live. Keeping all that flowing while the stream runs smoothly is the fun of it.
Next up: Thursday 24th September, on dystonia in Parkinson's. Free to attend and open for registration now.
