The Brewers are being celebrated like they invented baseball.
They are doing things that have become unusual.
They have an old school tough manager who players love playing for.
They focus on basic easy to understand basic fundamentals.
They have a hitting coach that was an overachieving player for skill that played in the big leagues.
They hit the ball the other way.
They value putting the ball in play.
They adjust their approach based on situation and count.
They are not addicted to exit velocity and launch angle bullshit.
They bunt and steal bases.
They do not have selfish superstars that need to be treated like celebrities.
The Brewers simply play the game how it was meant to be played.

Make a mistake? Have a “next pitch” mentality! The next pitch is all that matters. Keep your head in the game… odds are you will have a chance to help the team later. Maybe the very next pitch or towards the end of the game. You just never know when the next opportunity will show itself… Baseball rewards those who can stay locked in.

Everyone at lower levels want to just hit, hit, hit…. And just Ignore elite defensive development and it often shows… especially when all the marbles are on the table…. Pressure exposes the weakly prepared….

The Brewers and Rays have a magic formula.
Basic fundamentals and unselfish players.
The majority of other organizations would rather lose trying to outsmart the competition with space station lunacy and scientific jargon.

INCREDIBLE: A police officer pulled over a young Black man near the university. His license had expired.
"Why are you driving on an expired license?" the officer asked.
The young man said softly, "I just lost my night job. What I have left is just enough for food, rent, and bills. I'm from out of state. I'm here alone for university. And I have a job interview this morning."
The officer could have followed the book and impounded the car. He didn't.
He parked his cruiser, helped the young man straighten his tie, got in the passenger seat, and drove him to the interview himself.
They walked in together. The officer apologized for them being late and explained why. They took a selfie. Wished him luck.
He got the job. And later, he got a temporary permit to drive until he could afford to renew his license.
That's what humanity looks like.

🚨CLINT EASTWOOD FORMALLY REJECTED AND RETURNED ALL OF HIS OSCARS TO THE ACADEMY AFTER THEY REFUSED TO DEFINE THE WORD "WOMAN" AND ACCEPTED A NOMINATION FOR A BIOLOGICAL MALE FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS!
Follow @RedLivesMatterQ
“I’m standing up for women’s rights,” said the 93-year-old Hollywood icon. “If it’s the last stand I make, then so be it.”
The “actress” in question, Joseph “JoJobeans” Barron, was nominated for a small part in the latest Seth Rogen film.
Eastwood says he hopes his protest gets some attention.

A standard without clear behaviors is just a slogan.
A slogan tells people what the team believes.
A standard shows up in how players behave.
