Thanks to those checking in on me. All's well in geek-land, just taking an extended twitter sabbatical. No doubt Elon is quite sleepless thinking about my mini-protest.
Be kind. Throw Rocks. Support your local clubs.
Good news! @sliver_anthony will be in London this week offering select games from #Brier2023 on CurlingGeek. Keep an eye on the website to join in, watch some game, and chat with other fans.

These cups were used in our “How Far Can You Slide?” drill. Every kid picks a cup for themselves and puts it down where their slide naturally stops.
We also use them for other drills where we have to mark a specific kid’s progress/location. Other sets have numbers or letters.
Proposed new home of the #TwitterSpiel
Curling folks: we're gathering on curling.social/. Just drop the name of your home club in the form when you sign up so I know you're not spam. Apologies if it takes me a bit to approve you--probably means I'm on the ice! #twitterspiel

Glorifying choices that I can only hope some of you might have taken the opportunity to reflect on…is unfortunate. The culture of drinking in our sport and how it has been a cover up for real mental health and wellness issues for individuals…we should not turn a blind eye.
Conspiracy time: I sincerely believe that without the #TwitterSpiel, Plush still runs USA Curl. Others much more powerful have been taken down by grassroots tweeters
So did "THEY" pay @elonmusk to kill twitter on purpose? This platform is awful, but can empower individuals

It is with great regret that we must inform the curling community of the passing of Charlie Brown. A Past-President of the Schenectady Curling Club and the GNCC, he was most recently the USA Curling Director for the GNCC. He had a true love for the game, and he will be missed.
Awesome idea: partner up with a local restaurant for your New Curler nights. Make it an event! Keep it fun!

It was such a pleasure to have been able to join #TeamHKG for the inaugural @worldcurling #PCCC2022! It was my debut coaching role and I couldn’t have lucked out with a better team. Thank you Jason, Justin, Martin and Woody for such a fun week!
For those who would like to attend in person, the GNCC meeting is being held on the planet Hoth
Join us for an informal meeting on Sat 11/19 at 10am.
During this meeting there will be a short summary of the current situation and an introduction of new programs. There will be a Q&A. If anyone would like to submit questions ahead of time, send them to [email protected].
Shoutout to Mandi @GoldlineCurling for customer service so good that it probably saved my marriage!
This coach looks wild, man
Congratulations to Team India 🇮🇳 for qualifying for the playoffs at the Pan Continental Curling Championships B Division! The semi-final matchup will be confirmed after the last round robin game tomorrow.

Sad to hear about the passing of cameraman Jim. There are very few people who have the ability to make a person take stock of their own lives simply by showing what a gratitude for life looks like. You were one of those people. Rest in peace Jim and thank you for the lessons ❤️ – at Penticton, British Columbia
I think he❤️🔥the 🥌
Picked up a win this afternoon - not without some sacrifice! Check out @Jason_Ginter22 finding out how slippery the ice was the hard way 🥴
Back on tomorrow against Team Sato from Japan at 8:30am PST at the link below!

United Airlines is not listed as a partner in the press release for the Town Hall, but is listed in the follow up for the board resignations. Simple typo? Or a change @usacurl ?
Please join us for a Town Hall this Thursday evening at 8:30 PM ET. Click on the link below to get all the information you need to join. loom.ly/_ov7rNc
