Adding #AI to a governance team changes who does the work. It doesn’t change who answers for it. → R (Responsible) is the AI agent, which handles every step except approval → A (Accountable) is the named officer, who approves before anything is executed → C (Consulted) is the mid-level practitioner on the early steps, plus the second line at approval → I (Informed) keeps the named officer in the loop throughout If AI took over your drafting tomorrow, what would you be doing instead? bit.ly/4BS3qv2

📰 AI only earns a place in board work when directors trust the answers it gives them. Our recent article with @FortuneMagazine looks at how boards are putting secure AI in directors' hands, with every answer tied back to their own materials. What would it take for your directors to trust an AI answer before a vote? Full article → bit.ly/4feZAlH #AI #boardroom #governance #GRC

📨 Before every board meeting, corporate secretaries field questions from directors, from finding the latest risk appetite statement to recalling what the committee agreed to last quarter. The answers are almost always in the board materials, but finding it can take hours. Now, directors can ask GovernAI inside Diligent Boards and find the answers they need, cited to the page with the permissions their organization already set. Less time searching for information. More time preparing for the meeting. #AI #GRC #governance #boardroom → bit.ly/4BLyLza

If you could rebuild the boardroom from scratch, would it look anything like it does today? Yesterday in London, the Diligent Institute and @NYSE explored that question at our future of corporate governance in the AI era forum. Participants put thick board packs and outdated information under scrutiny, calling for shorter updates between meetings and more time for strategy. Thank you to Dottie Schindlinger and everyone who joined the discussion. Building on this momentum, you can join us and The Chartered Governance Institute on November 11 to explore the governance confidence gap. bit.ly/4sGJJ57

Your third-party risk program might look great on paper but how do you know it's actually working? Research conducted with Compliance Week found that only 18% of organizations set improvement goals and measure the effectiveness of their third-party risk programs. Asha J. Palmer and Daniel Zmak explored this gap at last week's Third-Party Risk Management & Supply Chain Summit in Chicago. 📊 Across Asia-Pacific, 57% of organizations have built AI into their work processes. 34% have a working group or committee overseeing it. Dottie Schindlinger says the first step is to ask who is using what, what they are feeding into it and what they are asking it to do. Make it safe for people to answer honestly, then include the board in the audit. Give directors a secure place to use AI. 🗄️ Your board made a compensation decision in 2023 that directors and executives alike half-remember. It's sitting in an old board book or a committee pack nobody has opened since. Finding it usually means an afternoon of scrolling or sending an email to the corporate secretary. Now directors can search years of board history in Diligent Boards just by asking GovernAI, and land on the exact page, archived books included. Which past decision does your board keep having to dig up? → bit.ly/3UkLWGD

📦 The board pack is never really final. There’s always a revised paper, a late update, or one more request heading to directors before the meeting. At Ansell, Lachlan Bradley’s team brought all of it into Diligent Boards and he says the biggest gain showed up in the director experience. We’re taking that director experience further with ask GovernAI, now live in Diligent Boards. Take a look: bit.ly/4zO3YA9

✍️ A "sign here" stamp and a document passed from desk to desk. That's how Suzanne VanSligtenhorst, used to collect director signatures at Discovery Mining Ltd. Now she creates a vote in Diligent Boards and everyone signs within the platform, which she calls a huge time saver. With director agendas getting longer every year, she sees making their lives easier as the heart of her job. See how Discovery Mining runs its board on Diligent Boards bit.ly/4yCi1rz

🇦🇺 Ask an Australian board what is taking up its time and cyber usually comes first. Dottie Schindlinger tells Andrew Amos that major incidents and new privacy and data protection laws have raised the stakes around customer data. 🔔 Somewhere tonight, a director is uploading a board pack into a general AI chatbot to prepare for tomorrow's meeting. They want further insights, but in doing so, they're sharing sensitive information with an unapproved tool. Now, the board pack sits in a consumer AI account, outside every permission and safeguard the organization and the board put in place. There’s a safer way. That director can ask GovernAI inside Diligent Boards instead. → Answers in seconds, with each response citing the page it came from → Permissions set by the materials they're allowed to see → Zero training of AI models with highly confidential Board data What would change if your directors could get the answers they needed without ever leaving Diligent Boards? 🤔 Who’s accountable when AI informs a board decision? That question was top of mind for governance and legal leaders at the Board Secretaries and General Counsels event in #Dubai, hosted by Marcus Evans Group 🇦🇪 Narimane Kurdi spoke with attendees from across the Middle East about what responsible AI use looks like in the boardroom, while Qais Gharaibeh shared Diligent’s perspective during a speaking session. A clear evidence trail matters. That’s why Diligent AI gives leaders cited insights drawn from their own board materials, with the source of every answer just one click away. bit.ly/4jhKhM5 #AI #AgenticAI #MiddleEast

📍 Most of the agentic AI conversations we had at #CAEConference2026 started with governance. Audit and risk leaders in Abu Dhabi are keen to cut manual work, but first they want to know they can trust what the AI produces. That’s a healthy place to start. It was great to hear how teams across the region are building that trust into their AI plans from the beginning, so the time they save goes into the work that needs real judgment. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, and to UAE IAA - UAE Internal Auditors Association for bringing everyone together. #UAE #APAC #AI #GRC #AbuDhabi #AgenticAI

Regulation almost always follows governance failure. Social media taught us that. Kathryn Henry (lululemon) on why boards should set the AI standard themselves, before a regulator does it for them, because the boards that wait will not enjoy the outcome. #TrustedToLead bit.ly/3U3bUOL

🇩🇪 Last week in Munich, a standing-room-only group of supervisory board members and executives came together to discuss what boards need in the AI era. As boards work through these questions, the latest research shows that 82% of U.S. public-company directors have used generative AI in their board work in the past six months, yet 54% say there is no guidance for directors’ use of AI at their company (Diligent Institute and @CorpBoardMember’s June 2026 Director Confidence Index). The discussion brought together: → Suzanne Brown, New York Stock Exchange Board Services → Dominique Shelton Leipzig, Global Data Innovation → Siddika Demir, independent director and AI founder → MEP Brando Benifei, co-rapporteur on the EU AI Act, who took live questions from the room A big thank you to Dottie Schindlinger, Dirk Pfefferle, Lea Schneider and everyone who helped bring it all together. 📍 The conversation continues in London on November 3 with NYSE/ICE.
