hit $40,000 in sales on appsumo🎉 still processing that, but honestly? it's not the part i'm most excited about big purchases are coming in from outside appsumo seeing $200 sales come through now locking in to make this the new normal
woke up to €300 in sales this monday a year ago, i would have been drowning in anxiety instead, i got in the car, drove around portugal, and went to eat outside with my mother when you love what you build, every day feels like a rest day

What are you building right now? Drop it below, I'd like to see what other founders are working on.

Your first backlinks don't need to come from huge sites. They need to be relevant and real. Ten good ones beat a thousand spammy ones every time.
32
"Build it and they will come" has never been true. "Build it, tell 100 people, ask what's missing" works way more often.
43
A small SEO habit that compounds: every time a user asks you a question, write a page answering it. Six months later those pages bring in users you never had to chase.

Product Hunt is a great day. It's a terrible strategy. Plan what happens on day 2.
27
Founders, what's something you spent money on early that you'd skip if you started over?
34
If your site is 3 months old and Google barely knows it exists, that's normal. New domains need trust signals: a few real backlinks, consistent content, and time. Don't panic and rebuild.
30
Unpopular opinion: you don't need a launch day. You need 30 days of showing up where your users already hang out.
36
Quick SEO check for new SaaS sites: is your homepage title just your brand name? Put what the product does in it. It's the easiest ranking win most founders skip.
31
The founders I see grow fastest aren't the best builders. They're the ones who tell people what they're building before it's ready.
32
What's the one channel that brought your first 10 users? Curious what's actually working this year.
35
A third of the startup directories on most "top 200" lists are dead, pay-to-list, or nofollow. Before you submit anywhere, check it's indexed, gets real traffic, and actually approves listings.

Most founders treat launch day as the finish line. It's the starting line. The traffic that matters comes in weeks 2 to 12, from places that keep sending visitors after the spike is gone.

🚀 Building in public: GuyID’s SEO journey We grew GuyID’s Ahrefs Domain Rating from 1.2 to 47 in just 2.5 months! 📈 Along the way, we used @DStartupSubmit to expand our presence across startup directories, while also earning independent editorial coverage from Biometric Update. I’m learning that growing domain authority is one thing. Turning it into organic traffic, search visibility, and real users is the next challenge. Appreciate the support from the @DStartupSubmit team! 🙌 On to the next milestone. #BuildInPublic #SEO #Startups

Honest feedback on @DStartupsubmit 's StartupSubmit.app: they said they'd get us to Domain Rating 30+, and they've done it. 📈 Great to work with a team that delivers on what it promises. Recommended for founders looking to build authority👏
