Golden words. Who knew that my home country Estonia is 72% renewable energy. I found out in awe.
I love this chart.
In 1993 the German electricity companies said renewables could never supply more than 4% of the country's power... that was the ceiling. Last year they supplied 55.9%. Fourteen times the ceiling.
It's the psychology of incumbents meeting exponential change. They extrapolate from the flat part of the curve, and the ceiling turns out to be a speed bump. Same story in EVs, in crypto, in AI...
Impossible, then inevitable.
The Master of Building goes to… @thesamparr
I still think about how Sam Parr (@thesamparr) started Hampton.
He tweeted that he was hosting a dinner in New York for founders doing $3M+ a year.
300 people signed up.
There was no dinner.
He called every single one of them:
"I'm not actually hosting a dinner. I'm starting this thing called Hampton. Want in?"
Most said maybe.
So he emailed them the list of 15 founders he was putting in the group. In or out?
The offer:
• $5,000 to start (he planned to charge $12K later)
• Meet once a month
• Starts in 4 weeks
• Hate it, full refund
Then he sent a Stripe link.
$1M in the bank before Hampton had a website. The only page was a Squarespace form collecting emails.
Today it has well over 1,000 members. Yes, that's over 8-figures in revenue!
What I keep coming back to:
• He tested demand with a dinner, not a product
• He picked up the phone instead of buying ads
• He charged before he built anything
• He made yes easy with a refund
Super impressive way to validate demand before you build anything.👏

Jordi Visser believes it is a very strong signal that bitcoin is going higher at the same time interest rates are going higher.
He sees the decoupling of bitcoin from the liquidity narrative as an important evolution in bitcoin's continued rise.
Do you agree with @jvisserlabs?
This week @jvisserlabs breaks down why bitcoin and stocks refused to crash even as the Fed hiked rates.
We also discuss why AI agents are now driving crypto's next leg higher and why the real "AI bubble" lives inside just two companies. Then we get into Andrew Yang's bombshell AI lab claims and why Jordi remains a bitcoin maxi for the next 30 years.

🇺🇸 Google just confirmed its Gemini AI went off-script and broke into 3 real companies during a security test in May.
A bug accidentally gave it internet access, and Gemini treated real businesses like they were part of the test.
It guessed passwords on one and used leaked login details it found online for the others.
The wild part? Once it realized the companies were real, it stopped on its own.
Google says no damage was done.
AI is getting pretty good at acting on its own... maybe a little too good.

Good recap of this week’s video for those of you have not seen it yet. The crypto content for subscribers launches this week with papers on M2 changing from money to wealth, Ghost Rails about AI agents as the users showing up now and the first crypto video titled Why Now which shows why the biggest up cycle of crypto is starting now imo.
Best video yet from @jvisserlabs!!!
Here are some of the highlights courtesy of Hal 9000 and Clippy (@bot).
**Thesis:** Sept–Oct is the crypto inflection he teed up in May–June — crypto was built for AI agents, the ghost-city rails are lighting up, and crypto (as an AI trade) is his highest risk/reward. Equities can grind on wall-of-worry / Mag7 / dead rate–oil sensitivity, but that is secondary to crypto.
1. Crypto×AI is the most important macro trade now — the long-forecast Sept–Oct inflection is here. [01:20](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=80)
2. Crypto was never for humans; AI agents are the real users, so the “why now” finally works. [08:07](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=487)
3. Ghost city filling: crypto rails are built and will light up as agents arrive. [07:25](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=445)
4. Best R/R for the next year is still crypto over AI equity names. [27:36](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=1656)
5. His 46-name crypto index broke yearly highs with broad breadth — beginning bull market. [06:44](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=404)
6. Tokenization / on-chain velocity replaces the old M2 liquidity story. [08:48](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=528)
7. Crypto has entered the “rates don’t matter” innovation phase. [48:38](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=2918)
8. Tokenized stocks + longer trading hours open the rails (“if you build it, they will come”). [49:18](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=2958)
9. Leopold’s automated-researcher inflection is here early — that is why crypto matters. [09:29](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=569)
10. Extreme AI bearishness + low VIX + structural bull historically favors long equities. [28:15](youtu.be/BkNzS8Ia-7k?t=1695)
Do you hate Meta and rarely remember that it is #1 in finding any niche customer globally now? Even if it is just 10 Customers, then Meta can do it. This is new.
Meta has 10 major catalysts over the next 12 months, only 3 of which have exact dates...
And the most important one is yet to be confirmed.
(Bookmark this for later)
The confirmed catalysts:
→ Sep 23: Meta Connect keynote
→ Feb 3: School-district teen-harm trials open
→ Aug 2: EU AI Act deadline for Llama models
The expected ones:
→ Oct 28 (est.): Q3 print + Q4 guide
→ Jan 27 (est.): Q4 print, first 2027 capex guide
→ Q1 2027 (est.): Ray-Ban Display gen 2
→ H1 2027 (est.): Meta starts selling AI compute
→ Apr 28 (est.): Q1 2027 earnings
→ Mid-2027 (est.): EU DSA ruling, up to 6% of revenue
→ Jul 28 (est.): Q2 2027 earnings
If you're going to watch anything, watch this:
✍️ January's capex guidance. Meta guided 2026 capex to $130-145B and free cash flow fell to $784M last quarter. The January report is where we get our first glimpse at 2027's number, and Wall Street is already modeling $185-205B.
✍️ School-district teen-harm trials. The legal overhang is 90% gone - Meta settled with 29 states for $17B in August. What's left is Feb 3.

If you don’t know Visser’s research then I don’t know how you know what to do.
Jordi Visser says he is "a bitcoin maxi in the very long-term."
"I want an asset that will be growing in value for the next 30 years. The only one I can say in my brain with certainty for the next 30 years...not the next 5, not the next 3 [years]....that I believe is bitcoin. That's it."
"The rest are innovations....they go faster and competition comes." @jvisserlabs

The EU 🇪🇺 has a legal 3% tax loophole for SaaS founders.
No need to go to Dubai.
No “Offshore company” either.
It's called the Cyprus IP Box Regime & it's an EU-approved tax incentive.
Most software entrepreneurs have never even heard about it.
But Cyprus has quietly attracted thousands of tech companies, including names like Semrush, Wargaming & GDEV/Nexters.
The last company is publicly traded on NASDAQ & even discloses in their SEC filings that they apply the Cyprus IP Box regime.
But your business can take advantage of the IP Box too.
If your company has or develops an Intellectual property (IP), then 80% of your qualifying profits can be tax-exempt in Cyprus.
Cyprus corporate tax is 15%, but under the IP Box you're only taxed on 20% of the profits.
So 20% × 15% = 3% effective corporate tax.
Example: Your SaaS business generates 1.000.000€ in qualifying profits:
> 1.000.000€ profit
> 800.000€ IP Box deduction
> 200.000€ taxable
> 30.000€ corporate tax
= 970.000€ left, after tax. Insane.
But it gets even more interesting.
If you personally move to Cyprus, we will apply for your Non-Dom Status where your dividends are fully tax-exempt as well.
So you can distribute the remaining 970.000€ as a dividend to yourself at a tax rate of 0%.
There is only one additional surcharge for the EU health card.
It’s 2.65%, capped at 180.000€.
Meaning, even if you receive more than 180.000€ in dividend, the maximum you’ll pay is 4.770€ per year.
Almost 5k€. On nearly 1M€. Horrible.
So from 1.000.000€ in profits, 30.000€ went to corporate tax & 4.770€ went to healthcare.
That’s less than 3.5% in total tax for you as an entrepreneur.
> While living in the EU
> With 320+ sunny days per year
> Growing entrepreneur community
> Cleanest sea waters in Europe
> Relaxed lifestyle
> Low crime
Cyprus 🇨🇾 might be one of the best places in Europe for SaaS founders, indie hackers, app developers & software entrepreneurs.
And I thought X is probably the best place to share this as many of our clients are on here as well. – at Cyprus

Prediction: within 12 months, top three models will be open source.
Economic winners will be the American clouds that serve them:
Nebius
Iren
Baseten
Together
Fireworks
Looks like today may be a record day for token volume % of open models on Vercel AI Gateway:
🟦 Open 78.4% 🟨 Closed 21.6%
While spend 💲 usually tells a different story, #3 and #4 today are Moonshot AI & DeepSeek. Adding Z.ai, their combined spend surpasses OpenAI (#2).
(Do note that's the spend for inference of the model across providers (mostly in the US), not revenue going directly to the open weight labs.)

A must listen. We are walking blindly into a world war 3
MOST DANGEROUS SINCE 1945: EUROPE IS FLYING BLIND INTO A WAR IT CANNOT FIGHT
Swiss journalist Roger Köppel, publisher of "Die Weltwoche", sat down and said the quiet part out loud. In his judgment this is the most dangerous historical moment since the end of the Second World War — worse than the Cuban Missile Crisis, worse than Yugoslavia, far more dangerous than the war in the Middle East. And he says the European Union is steering straight into it.
THE CORE WARNING
➡️ Köppel calls it “pure madness.”
➡️ Europe, he says, is not equal to this situation in any respect — not financially, not militarily, not mentally.
➡️ The EU is sliding into a war it cannot fight, while the public still talks about heatwaves and state elections as if those were the main event.
THE FORBIDDEN QUESTION
➡️ He says only one opinion is allowed: ours.
➡️ What the other side thinks must not even be taken note of. In the EU, he claims, trying to find out how Russians think and what they say can land you under penalty.
➡️ Even if you believe “planetary evil” is concentrated in Moscow, he argues, that is exactly when you must study the enemy.
➡️ That work is not wanted. Anyone who considers a wider war is branded a soulless propagandist for Russia, a henchman of the devil.
THE BLIND FLIGHT
➡️ “This is a gigantic blind flight,” Köppel says — into a war, into an abyss.
➡️ His family memory is Königsberg — the East Prussian city now called Kaliningrad.
➡️ His grandfather was an Auslandsschweizer, a Swiss citizen living abroad, and a professional firefighter there. Then came the British phosphorus bombs of 1944, and the flight to Switzerland.
➡️ More than eighty years later he finds it grotesque that Germany is circling the same questions again.
➡️ Where are the German politicians with historical consciousness? A few remain, he says. Most are already of pension age.
WHAT HE HEARD IN MOSCOW
➡️ The danger became real for him before the summer holidays, sitting with a major international industrialist in Russia.
➡️ The man did not joke. “The train has actually left.”
➡️ He was preparing for a full war in Europe within six or seven months — maybe a little longer. He saw no way out.
➡️ Köppel’s read of the machine: the West backs Ukraine, Ukraine keeps escalating, Russia hits back, pressure on Putin rises, and both camps are rock-solid convinced they alone are in the right.
➡️ Russians, in the conversations he describes, see themselves as victims of Western expansion and NATO’s advance. They are sure they have broken neither international law nor justice. The EU is just as certain the other side is the criminal.
➡️ That mix, he says, is the most dangerous of all. You cannot appeal enough for peace.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Köppel is not predicting a date on a calendar. He is describing a continent that has locked the cockpit, banned the other map, and called the warning itself treason.
A blind flight only ends when someone looks out the window.
