Competitiveness, new opportunities for our territories and a strong focus on local communities.

🇪🇺 Oggi al Collegio dei Commissari abbiamo approvato iniziative molto importanti: ✅️ Programma di lavoro della Commissione per il 2027, con le priorità e le iniziative per il prossimo anno. ✅️ Relazione 2026 su semplificazione, attuazione e applicazione delle norme europee, per rendere le politiche UE più semplici ed efficaci. ✅️ Pacchetto Allargamento 2026, per proseguire il percorso di integrazione europea dei Paesi candidati. ✅️ Strategia europea per il turismo sostenibile, per rafforzare la competitività del settore e sostenere lo sviluppo dei territori e delle comunità locali. 🇬🇧 Today, at the College of Commissioners, we adopted several important initiatives: ✅️ Commission Work Programme for 2027, setting out our priorities and initiatives for the coming year. ✅️ 2026 Report on Simplification, Implementation and Enforcement, to make EU policies simpler and more effective. ✅️ 2026 Enlargement Package, to advance the European integration process of candidate countries. ✅️ EU Sustainable Tourism Strategy, to strengthen the competitiveness of the tourism sector and support the development of territories and local communities.

🇪🇺🇱🇹A #Vilnius ho incontrato il Primo Ministro lituano @mindaugassink. Difesa, sicurezza, coesione e sostegno alle regioni di confine: sfide che riguardano tutta l’Europa. Un confronto importante anche in vista della prossima Presidenza lituana del Consiglio UE, da gennaio 2027. 🇬🇧 In Vilnius, I met with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius. Defence, security, cohesion and support for border regions: challenges that concern all of Europe. An important discussion also ahead of Lithuania’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU, starting in January 2027.

🇪🇺🇮🇹 Oggi dialogo con le città dell’ANCI, in occasione della presentazione del 📊Rapporto Garofoli. 📊 Dall’esperienza del PNRR alla modernizzazione della politica di coesione, fino all’Agenda europea per le città. ✅️Il rapporto tra città ed Europa è solido e fondamentale per trasformare le politiche europee in interventi concreti per i cittadini. 🇬🇧 Today, a dialogue with ANCI cities on the occasion of the presentation of the Garofoli Report. 📊From the experience of the Recovery and Resilience Plan to the modernisation of cohesion policy and the European Agenda for Cities. ✅️The relationship between cities and Europe is strong and essential to turning European policies into concrete actions for citizens

🇪🇺🇮🇹 Oggi a #Firenze per il Festival delle Regioni e delle Province autonome. Coesione, crescita e strategie territoriali per dare ai cittadini il diritto di restare nel luogo che chiamano casa. 🇬🇧 Today in #Florence for the Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces. Cohesion, growth and territorial strategies to give citizens the right to stay in the place they call home.

🇪🇺🇮🇹 Un mondo in disordine, un’Europa chiamata a cambiare passo per affrontare le sfide globali, dare risposte concrete ai cittadini e continuare a essere uno spazio di democrazia, diritti e prosperità. Ne abbiamo parlato ieri, nel corso di due appuntamenti in Italia. 🇬🇧 A world in disorder, a Europe called upon to step up to address global challenges, deliver concrete answers to citizens, and remain a space of democracy, rights and prosperity. We discussed these issues yesterday during two events in Italy.

🇪🇺🇭🇷 Oggi in Croazia ho visitato alcuni progetti realizzati grazie ai fondi della politica di coesione e incontrato i cittadini delle aree più remote, che affrontano il rischio di spopolamento. 🤝 Un confronto prezioso per conoscere da vicino le esigenze dei territori, anche in vista della preparazione della strategia europea “Right to Stay”*, per creare nuove opportunità e garantire a tutti il diritto di restare nel proprio territorio. 🇬🇧 Today in Croatia, I visited several projects supported by Cohesion Policy funds and met with citizens living in remote areas facing the risk of depopulation. 🤝 A valuable opportunity to better understand the needs of these territories, also as we prepare the European “Right to Stay” Strategy, aimed at creating new opportunities and ensuring that everyone has the right to remain in their home region.
