Everyone: "my anxiety is through the roof" Also everyone: 5 hours of doomscrolling a day, eating crap, sleeping 5 hours, zero exercise, zero rest for the brain. Of course you're anxious. Cut the crap feed. Cut the crap food. Sleep. Move. Nobody's coming to save you. Stop fucking around.

A great exercise every entrepreneur should do, at least, on a weekly basis. Amazing Jordan. Thanks for sharing!

Patience is the moat.
Patience. Everything else is a distraction.

I've been reading a bunch of GEO studies, and there's no real consensus about anything (also, this stuff changes every other week, so...) But the exciting part is that there seems to be a path for anyone trying to get into AI Search, no matter how big or small. Examples of some results from these studies: 1. If you're a new brand, you don't need to show up on the first page of Google to be cited by AI. 2. If you have a well known brand you can slack for a little bit bc you will show up anyway. But can also be a challenge if you decide to pivot so you will need to amplify your new messaging to counter your "grounded" position. 3. If you have a site with some authority it'll be easy to earn a better SoV(Share of Voice) by improving the content you have on-site and collaborating with the right partners. Sign up to my newsletter, as I'll be sharing more of these studies next week, in a big report I'm prepping.

Are you a maximizer or an optimizer?
You don't need more traffic. You need to maximize the traffic you already got. The biggest opportunity of SEO is often lost, because you don't get that visitor back. The ways to solve this are surprisingly easy: - Set up paid retargeting campaigns + Bonus: capture their emails and engage forever You don't even need an AI for that. Will it be more expensive? Yes. But it will maximize the money you do from all your marketing efforts. The math is simple: Suppose you have a B2B travel agency and you convert 1% of your visitors Each package you sell leaves you 2-3K in profit - You spend 40K a year on SEO - You get 10,000 visits a month, 120,000 a year - 1% ask for a quote: 1,200 leads - 30% are real companies with a budget: 360 - You close 1 in 4: 90 packages - At 2.5K profit each, that's 225K You spent 40K to make 225K. 185K in your pocket. Now add retargeting for 3K a month, 36K a year. It shows your ads to the 99% who left without asking for a quote. Only a few come back, about 2 in every 1,000: - 1,200 leads become 1,440. That's 240 more leads - 360 real companies become 432 - 90 packages become 108 - 225K profit becomes 270K In short, you make more money, and that's what matters: - Without retargeting: 225K − 40K SEO = 185K profit - With retargeting: 270K − 40K SEO − 36K ads = 194K profit Another way to look at it is just making sure your Google Ads are bringing in more dollars than what you invested. It's that simple.

If you've been interested in roborank's BYOK monthly plans: these will be sunsetted in early November. After that, you will be able to use it only via credits. Grab it if you still want it. I'll grandfather all accounts signing up for BYOK until the above happens.

Open to knowing more about "ranking" in ChatGPT? Then don't look below
No, ranking on Google doesn't mean ChatGPT will mention you. Three things decide that. And I'll explain them now: 1. Query fan-out When you ask ChatGPT one question, it turns it into lots of smaller ones. Example question: "Best fado show in Porto?" It gets broken down into further questions like: - "fado show prices Porto" - "fado with dinner Porto" - "most authentic fado in Porto" It looks all of them up at the same time and mixes what it finds into one answer. 2. Semantic similarity "I'm hungry" and "I want a snack" match in semantic similarity, even though they share not the same words. (semantic = study of language AND meaning) It matters because ChatGPT is precisely looking for matches in meaning, not in words. So if your page doesn't have a clear intention. and doesn't states the meaning rightly, it won't get picked. 3. Semantic triple The Semantic Triple is a basic writing tip: subject + predicate + object. It's made of three parts: - a thing (subject) - what it does (predicate) - and what it does it to (object) Example: "Porto has fado shows." It matters because short, clear facts like these are the easiest for AI to grab and repeat. So what do you do? Fan-out Query: answer the small questions people ask, not just the big one. Semantic Similarity: say things the way people actually ask them. Semantic Triple: write your key facts as simple sentences an AI can copy. Do that and ChatGPT will have no way to ignore you. I built a full glossary to learn more of this AI Search and GEO. Link in the comments.
