Three constitutional amendments are waiting at the very end of your Georgia ballot this fall. Here's what each one does, in plain language:
1️⃣ Amendment 1 — Raises the acreage cap for the Conservation Use (CUVA) farmland tax program from 2,000 to 4,000 acres.
2️⃣ Amendment 2 — Requires all probate court judges to be elected on a nonpartisan basis, like Georgia's other judges.
3️⃣ Amendment 3 — Lets the General Assembly dedicate 9-1-1 revenue to a fund used only for 9-1-1 systems and the upgrade to a Next Generation 9-1-1 system.

Big news from the courtroom this week: the 11th Circuit sided with Georgia and cleared the way for SB 351, our law requiring social media platforms to verify ages and get a parent's okay before a child under 16 opens an account.
Majority Leader Jason Anavitarte wrote the bill. Big Tech sued to stop it. Attorney General Chris Carr defended it in federal court, and Georgia won.
