Nearly 2,000 years after Euclid wrote Elements, a Jesuit and a Ming Dynasty scholar made the first Chinese translation in 1607.
The Chinese language had no terms for axiom, proof, definition, or theorem as mathematical concepts. Matteo Ricci explained each Latin passage in spoken Chinese, and Xu Guangqi wrote it down in classical Chinese, coining dozens of terms along the way.
Very few texts have been passed down through a more serpentine path. The text traveled from the ancient Greek, Arabic, and Latin, then by sea to Macau and overland to Peking over nineteen years.
The story of this enchanting text and its many translations: generaltranslation.com/atlas…

today, I'm launching Glyphfield: a free, open-source design canvas that we've been using internally at @generaltxn.
most graphics start as a blank figma frame. glyphfield starts you with 197 live shaders, your brand kit, text, images, stickers, dither and ascii effects, and artboards in any size.
+it's fully agent native; the entire studio is exposed via API to your agents.

Most blog UI is the same scrolling text window with a table of contents on the side. Direct, informative, safe.
We wanted the @generaltxn Atlas to feel worth turning pages for. Every story is a full magazine issue with its own cover, paper, UI surfaces, and map!
This could be you 👀

Couldn't sleep, so I translated the entire Ghostty docs site into all 34 languages the app currently supports using @generaltxn. Would love feedback from native speakers on how it reads in their language!
The primary thing blocking the Ghostty 1.4 is translation review. We're planning to ship with broken translations if we can't get reviewers/translators quickly to help with the following: Catalan, Indonesian, Irish, Japanese. PRs here: github.com/ghostty-org/ghost… and translation guide: github.com/ghostty-org/ghost… Thank you!

How to build self-healing docs with a style guide and daily cloud agent.
We created our style guide by writing docs directly in Cursor, asking an agent to generalize every change and thought process into guidelines and rules.
Our style guide covers terminology, brand voice, tone, style, and audience (similar to the custom prompts we enforce for our customers.)
Agents are now a majority of docs readers, and they need specialized discovery, retrieval, and tool access capabilities.
Questions to ask about your docs: Can agents discover and navigate the pages? Can they read clean markdown content that fits in their context window? Can they fetch and use the correct AI tools?
How we structured our docs spine around what the user needs, and how some of our docs pages rank #1 on search.
