A promessa do dólar onchain: comprar 24 horas por dia, sem depender do horário dos bancos e com preço competitivo. Mas será que isso acontece na prática? A Teiten Research analisou um ano de swaps em 9 blockchains e 4 países da América Latina. A resposta surpreende. 🧵

With $2 billion lost to threat actors so far this year, defences need to evolve as fast as the attackers. Safenet is an important step forward, and Gnosis is proud to be one of the validators. Now live on @GnosisChain.
🔊 Introducing Safenet Aegis: the first production-ready and fee-generating release of Safenet, secured by $SAFE. Safenet is a decentralized security protocol for self-custody. 💲 A user submits a transaction to Safenet for a small fee. 👓 Sentinels @OpenCover, @BlockSecTeam, @candidelabs, and @IntentGuard check every transaction and are accountable for their verdicts. ✅ Validators @gnosis_, @greenfield_cap, @SafeLabs_, and Core Contributors attest the verdict onchain. 💂 A formally verified Safenet Guard can enforce the attestation, back on the user @safe , defending against threats. Safenet is live on @ethereum @arbitrum and @gnosischain and is coming soon to @SafeLabs_ multisigs. 📄 Read more: safefoundation.org/blog/safe… 🌐 Website: safenet.xyz

FCR is live on Gnosis Chain bridges. Ethereum deposits to Gnosis Chain now confirm in about one slot, bringing Gnosis Chain closer to Ethereum ahead of its @etheconomiczone transition. Shout-out to @ethlabs_org, the FCR team and the consensus client teams for making FCR possible on Ethereum!
Gnosis bridges are now the first production system to act on FCR on Ethereum mainnet. Starting today, the xDAI bridge and Omnibridge use Ethereum's Fast Confirmation Rule (FCR). Deposits from Ethereum are confirmed in about one slot, instead of waiting for finality. Bridging from Ethereum to Gnosis Chain just got MUCH faster, and it's a big step on Gnosis Chain's path to @etheconomiczone. Here's why it matters.

The @etheconomiczone is to Ethereum what TCP/IP was to the Internet.
On January 1, 1983, ARPANET switched to TCP/IP, and separate networks became one internet. Everything before that is now prehistory. This is Ethereum's 1983. We knew atomic composability would work in theory. On mainnet, it still feels like magic. ✨

🔥🔥🔥 The first atomic cross-chain L1->L2 transaction ever! 🔥🔥🔥
Atomic synchronous composability is no longer a promise. History made on mainnet: the first atomic cross-chain L1->L2 transaction ever 🔥 And this is only the beginning for EEZ ... 🚀 @etheconomiczone

This week's conversation around the world computer and all, reminded us of one story. Before 1840, a letter in Britain was priced by distance and paid for by whoever received it. Keeping in touch was expensive. At least for most, as some privileged ones, like Members of Parliament, sent letters for free. Then came the Penny Post. One penny for a letter sent anywhere in the country. The same price for everyone, as the free privilege was abolished, even for the Queen. Within a year - BOOM! - letters went from 76 million to 169 million. In 1860 George Elgar Hicks painted the rush for the six o'clock post. Rich and poor, young and old, each with a letter of their own. Six in the evening was the daily deadline for the regular inland mail. One set of rules for everyone. Anyone's transaction gets through. Circles also gives everyone the same rate. One CRC an hour. The post made everyone a sender. Circles makes everyone an issuer.

It's been a busy September for the @etheconomiczone's team. Great to see this progress 🔥 Go check out the monthly update and learn about what's next 👇
Our September update is out. September brought a lot of movement: auditors reading the contracts, @Nethermind building an EEZ client, and a @CoWSwap order settling across chains on our experimental network. Read the full update ↓

Here is the onchain liquidity graph of Ethereum and @gnosischain. Under EEZ those two, and the graph of every other chain joining EEZ will just become one!

Card program turns your wallet into a daily habit 💳
Users with a card tend to come back way more often. Here's a data we see in Gnosis Pay card program: 📈 82.6% week-over-week customer retention. 📈 54% of users interacting with the wallet 1.27 times a day. The most engaged cardholders spend on average $11,461 a month. A card program fixes the last mile, so your users can spend their stablecoin balances in their local market.

Has Europe already fallen behind in stablecoin race? Stablecoins are a $314B market, and 99.5% of it is dollars. Every euro stablecoin combined comes to under $1B. And that's not all. Well over half of that euro slice is EURC, issued by @circle, which is an American company. Meanwhile, Europe's central banks and @ecb request rules even more tightened - calling for a wider ban on interest payments on stablecoins in the EU. How are European fintechs navigating such landscape? We will discuss this - and other topics - with Ana Matos from @getqonto and Nadia Sergejuk @thurahdex leading @lagoon_finance in today's Lisbon Ethereum Hub Meetup. Registration required ⬇️

What would it take for a bank to use a tokenised deposit as collateral on Ethereum without first moving it across a bridge? That was the question behind "One Transaction, No Bridges" on the CV Summit Catalyst Stage by @CV_Labs in Zurich, with @tw_tter and @jbaylina. The session was moderated by Anthony Day, a blockchain executive who has worked at IBM, Deloitte and Parity, and hosts the Blockchain Won't Save the World podcast.

For financial institutions, that fragmentation is very concrete. The same asset exists as several wrapped copies on different chains, and collateral posted on one chain is hard to use anywhere else, so capital ends up sitting idle in duplicate.

The @etheconomiczone, which Friederike and Jordi co-initiated with funding from the Ethereum Foundation, lets a contract on one chain call a contract on Ethereum and use the result within the same transaction, so either every step happens or none of them do. In practice, a bank could issue a tokenised deposit on its own chain and - in a single transaction - post it as collateral in an Ethereum lending market, borrow against it and settle, while its own compliance, privacy and fraud controls stay in place.
