How to Raise Amazing Children - God's Way, Part I
God has a plan, a strategy and a design for raising children, and it is far better than anything the world offers. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus repeatedly says, "You have heard… but I say to you," showing us heaven's way of doing things. Getting saved happens in a moment, yet many believers keep the old ways they had before, and when it comes to raising children they simply copy the world. If you have been delivered from Egypt but let Egyptian schools, media and apps raise your children, they will walk like Egyptians. This teaching is not about perfect children or perfect parents; it is about children who flourish and know who they are in Christ. Whatever your family history, it can change with you. Graham explains two vital truths. The will of God is prescriptive: God tells us how to raise, love, discipline and provide for our children, and every parent falls short. The will of God is also redemptive: like a GPS that recalibrates after a wrong turn, God meets us wherever we are, as Jesus met the woman at the well, and reroutes us back to His perfect will. Grace is not permission; grace is the power to change.

Kingdom Perspectives, Complete Week
Who you are determines what you see. In this complete week of teaching on kingdom perspectives, Graham Jones shows that we don't see things as they are; we see things as we are, and the key to seeing correctly is putting on the new identity God has given us. From Colossians 3, he explains that for a believer there are only two identities, the old and the new, that self-help is simply a modern form of the law, and that dying to self is not a slow daily discipline but an historical event accomplished at the cross. Through the story of the prodigal son, he shows that both brothers had perspective problems, and that many believers live in the Father's house like pig keepers, when the Father only relates to us as sons: "Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours." Graham then gives four practical keys: ask God to show you how you see you, let Him expose and reframe the lies, receive how He sees you, and put on that person through practice. In the Q&A, he answers questions on childhood labels, renewing the mind, rejection, insecurity and fear, and on stepping into the place of the beloved.

Kingdom Perspectives, Q&A
You don't see things as they are; you see things as you are, and that shapes every answer here. Our identity drives our perception: "the wicked flee when no one pursues," not because of what is outside them but because of who they are inside. Most of us can't see our own identity, like a fish in water, so the first step is asking God to show us how we see ourselves. Childhood shapes us massively, since what we learn in our earliest years forms how we see the world; yet by faith we can declare the old self dead and practise the new identity. Renewing the mind means replacing the deep "scripts" running in the background, engaging with God's promises through faith and imagination rather than repeating them like a parrot. Rejection runs deep since the fall, and most of us live in the fear of rejection, avoiding places like a dog behind an invisible fence. To overcome insecurity, see it, invite the Lord into it, and step into being the beloved, starting from perfect acceptance as Jesus did. Fear and hope shape our decisions because we live by imagination; when God's truth sets our beliefs, we live differently.

Kingdom Perspectives, Part XI
You don't see things as they truly are; you see things as you are, and as your identity changes, what you see changes with it. Passing through US immigration once filled me with dread, but now, as a citizen, it is easy. The setup hasn't changed; I have. Here are four practical keys. First, ask God to show you how you see you. Many Christians try to lay a new-creation label over a settled, hidden identity, like putting a suit on someone who still feels they don't belong. Notice your reactions and fears; like Tim Ferriss's Starbucks challenge or Rees Howells walking hatless through London, many fears exist only inside us. Second, ask the Lord to expose the lies and rewire you. Some things simply need accepting, while painful experiences need reframing as you ask, "Lord, how do You see this?" Third, ask God to show you how He sees you, even when it sounds untrue, as when He called Gideon a mighty man of valor. Fourth, put on that person. Act as if what God says is true, and keep practising. Like learning a new guitar chord, it feels unnatural at first, but with practice new creation becomes second nature.

Kingdom Perspectives, Part X
What you think about God determines how you live, how you respond and how you see Him, and how you see yourself is the starting point of learning to see. Just as a new prescription changes how you walk without changing the world, our perceptions shape how we treat people. Many people relate to a pastor through the lens of every pastor who hurt them. In Luke 15, Jesus tells of a father with two sons. In Jewish culture, a son received his inheritance when he came to maturity, so the younger son's request was not wrong; what he did with it was. After wasting everything and ending up feeding pigs, he came to himself and returned, hoping to be a hired servant. His father ran to him, put a robe and a ring on him, and restored his identity as a son. The elder brother, outwardly faultless, thought his father was mean. The father told him three things: you are my son, all I have is yours, and you are always with me. Both brothers had perspective problems. Many believers live in the Father's house like pig keepers, feeling unworthy. God relates to us only as sons, and we must step into that identity.

Kingdom Perspectives, Part IX
You don't see things as they are; you see things as you are. Because we see through our identity, the key to changing how we see the world, others, ourselves and every circumstance is knowing who we truly are. Many believers carry a distorted, patched-up image of themselves, and everything they see is coloured by it. In Colossians 3, Paul tells us to seek the things above, to set our minds there, because we died and our lives are hidden with Christ in God. For a believer there are only two identities, the old and the new, and in Christ we have received the new. God is not interested in self-help, which is simply a modern form of the law. His only plan for the old self was death, and He has already carried it out at the cross. Dying to self is not a slow daily discipline but an historical event: God placed our old selves on Jesus and raised us in newness of life. Most Christians live as though they are struggling failures who will only be transformed at death. God sees us now as new creations. Paul's pattern is to start from that identity, set our minds on it, and let right actions flow out of it.

Lord, Show Me How You See | Graham Jones Live
God doesn't see things the way we see them, and He wants to teach the church to see. We see with our eyes but perceive with our hearts, through our history, culture and experience. Again and again in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says, "You have heard it said… but I say to you," bringing His kingdom perspective into every area of life. God is not offering a ticket to heaven someday; He wants to change our lives now and make us citizens of heaven in how we think. I share four prayers. First, "Lord, show me who You are," because many of us carry religious ideas of a harsh, stingy God, and how we see Him determines how we relate to Him. Second, "Lord, show me how You see me," because God's opinion is the only one that counts and He gives us our identity. Third, "Lord, show me people as You see them," moving us beyond liking people to loving them with His love. Fourth, "Lord, show me my circumstances through Your eyes," whether bills, aches or setbacks. Like Joshua and Caleb, we can see the same land differently. To see as God sees, we must also let Him help us unsee.

Kingdom Perspectives, Complete Week
God does not see the way we see, but we can learn to see the way He sees. In this complete week of teaching on kingdom perspectives, Graham Jones shows that seeing is not purely natural: we interpret what is in front of us through our knowledge, experience, culture and beliefs. The twelve spies saw the same Promised Land, yet only Joshua and Caleb saw it through the lens of "our God is able," and David saw Goliath differently because he had been looking at God. God's deeper desire is not to change everything around us but to change things inside us. Graham then explains that sin distorts our perception and that we see through the grid of our hearts, offering three keys to recognise what is inside: listen to our words, ask the Lord to show us, and watch our reactions. He shows that the heart is revealed over time, that gifting is not the measure, and that while hearts harden through repeated choices, they can also soften and be fixed firmly on God's Word. In the Q&A, Graham answers questions on hardened hearts, seeing from God's perspective, developing a biblical mindset and guarding against bitterness. You can change your heart.

Kingdom Perspectives, Q&A
This Q&A answers five practical questions about seeing with the heart. To allow God to change our hearts, we must first see them, as God led Israel through the wilderness to reveal what was in their hearts; circumstances and even offence expose what is inside. We then humble our hearts and bring them into God's presence, where they become soft and tender. A hardened heart is intransigent, proud, resistant to God and slow to believe; often what looks like a faith problem is a heart problem, because "love believes all things." To see circumstances from God's perspective, we start by asking Him to show us what we don't see, then meditate on His promises until they become the lens through which we look at the world. Developing a biblical mindset means recognising and repenting of old thought patterns and deliberately walking God's paths until, like a footpath across a field, they become the natural way. Finally, guarding against bitterness means accepting that life is unfair to everyone, choosing what we allow to stay inside us, forgiving quickly and thoroughly, and refusing to revisit offences, praying daily, "Search me, O God, and know my heart."

Kingdom Perspectives, Part VII
You cannot always know what is in someone's heart by the first thing they say. Over years as a pastor, I have learned that the heart is revealed over time, especially in how people react when things go wrong, when they don't get their own way, and when they must work with someone who disagrees. Gifting is not the measure; the heart is. Jesus gives us a new heart and wants the things of the Spirit to invade and determine it. Hearts can harden over time, but they can also soften, and none of us is destined to stay in the same place. Outside of Jesus, our hearts crystallise around the choices we repeat. A hardened heart is formed by repeated choices, and while it is hard to change, it is possible. We can even "harden" our hearts in a good direction, fixing them so firmly on God's Word that believing becomes easy and walking in His ways becomes natural. You can change your heart.

Kingdom Perspectives, Part VI
God does not see the way we see, and sin distorts our ability to perceive. Ezekiel's call to see with our eyes, hear with our ears and set our hearts on what God shows us reminds us that we perceive with the heart, not only the eye. Many of us are poor judges of our own hearts. We walk along thinking all is well until something comes "out of the deep" and we wonder where it came from. Sin comes from inside, not outside: a spouse doesn't create anger, she presses a button already there. Jeremiah says the heart is hard to know, but the Lord searches it. Since we perceive circumstances through the grid of what is in our hearts, we need keys to recognise it. First, listen to our words, because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, especially when we are offended. Second, ask the Lord to show us. Third, watch our reactions, because God uses circumstances, as with Israel in the wilderness, to reveal what is inside. Israel "went astray in their heart." The right response is to see, repent, and let the Holy Spirit displace wrong things with His fruit, learning to thirst for living water.

Kingdom Perspectives, Part V
God does not see the way we see, but we can learn to see the way He sees, and what we see shapes the posture of our hearts. Seeing is not purely natural. Just as computers are being trained to recognise images, we must be taught to perceive. We do not merely capture what is in front of us; we interpret it through our knowledge, experience, culture and beliefs. The twelve spies all saw the same Promised Land, yet ten saw it through the lens of "it cannot be done," while Joshua and Caleb saw it through the lens of "our God is able." David looked at Goliath differently because he had been looking at God, and so he saw an enemy who could not stand before the armies of the living God. Many believers treat prayer like a magic wand, asking God to change everything around them, when God's deeper desire is to change things inside them. We don't need to change what we see; we need to change how we see. Like the blind man who saw "men like trees, walking" and asked Jesus to touch him again, we must be honest that we have not yet seen everything. The prayer is simple: Lord, open my eyes, that I may see.

Kingdom Perspectives, Complete Week
We do not see things the way they are; we see things the way we are. In this complete week of teaching on kingdom perspectives, Graham Jones shows how the heart shapes everything we perceive. He begins with the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus raises the bar so high that only His own life in us can meet it, and explores the unknown unknowns and invisible fences that keep us living within limits that no longer exist. He then explains that the world we see is real but very incomplete, and that we relate to God as we know Him to be, not as He actually is — like the servant in Luke 19 who called his master austere — until a revelation of God's generosity changes what we receive. In Numbers 13 and 14, twelve spies take the same tour of the Promised Land yet return with two reports: Joshua and Caleb declare, "We are well able," while the ten see themselves as grasshoppers, and God calls their factual report evil because it contradicted what He had spoken. In the Q&A, Graham answers questions on spiritual blindness, hearing God, meditation, and moving from revelation to understanding until the day star rises in our hearts. God wants to change how we see.

Kingdom Perspectives, Q&A
The eye and the ear are the gateway into the heart, and in this Q&A Graham Jones answers five questions about how we perceive. How can I recognize spiritual blindness? Begin with the humility that admits you do not see what you do not see; ask God to show you your unknown unknowns, and notice where you keep bumping into the same thing. Sight in the spirit has more to do with humility than intelligence, for God gives grace to the humble and reveals things to babes. Can wrong thinking keep me from hearing God? Yes — God rarely gatecrashes fixed beliefs, so ask Him, "Have I got this wrong?" How does Scripture reshape the way we see God? Through meditation and a sanctified imagination, as David saw victory where others saw a giant. What did Jesus mean by "But I say"? He contrasted the world's perception with God's and called us to put away childish understanding. How do we move from revelation to understanding? Engage with the Word until the day star rises in your heart, as gradually as a sunrise. Graham shares how speaking Philippians 4:19 in India, without yet believing it, eventually became an unshakeable revelation of God's provision.
