Guwahati–Delhi in under 8 hours? Yes!
The extension of the Northern bullet train corridor to Guwahati is a pivotal moment for East India.
My heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji and Hon’ble Railway Minister Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw Ji.
The corridor was initially meant to end at Siliguri. After my written request and meeting with Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji in July, he saw merit in our proposal and approved its extension into the North East.
This is what a government that listens and delivers looks like.
As Assam prepares for a new wave of high-tech industries, fast, affordable flight like connectivity to Delhi and two state capitals will open up enormous opportunities for businesses and livelihoods.
A bullet train to Assam once seemed so far-fetched that it never even became a public demand. Today, what we scarcely dared to dream is becoming reality.

Privileged to attend the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit today in the esteemed presence of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, whose vision has placed clean energy at the heart of India's growth story.
At the CEO Roundtable, I reaffirmed Assam's commitment to this transition. Under our Integrated Clean Energy Policy, we are targeting 11.7 GW of renewable energy by 2030, and I invited industry leaders to partner with us in building a greener, stronger Viksit Bharat.
My gratitude to Hon'ble Union Minister Shri @JoshiPralhad ji for bringing diverse stakeholders onto a single platform to accelerate India's clean energy ambitions.
Our girls are now winning in avenues, traditionally not considered India's strength.
Congratulations to our U-20 girls Rugby team on clinching a clinical victory over New Zealand.

This was India under Congress in 2010, when the lack of sanitation was being sold to global media outlets and poverty-porn enthusiasts.
Speaks volumes about the state India was left in after 60 years of Congress rule that, in 2014, the country needed a Prime Minister to make basic sanitation a national priority.
A big thank you to our karyakartas who turned up in huge numbers in Shimla to expose Congress's hypocrisy.
The irony? Himachal's CM, who heads a Congress govt, rushed to Delhi to protest the EC's "bias." Sir, the people of Himachal were on the streets too, just a little closer to home 😏
