Everyone at Norwich City is deeply saddened by the passing of our honorary life president, Michael Wynn Jones.
Michael died peacefully at home on Monday morning, aged 85. He will be greatly missed.
His family are grateful for the wonderful care provided by the community nursing team at St Elizabeth Hospice.
Our deepest condolences are with Delia and Tom, and with all of Michael’s family, friends and loved ones.
At the family’s request, we ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.

What a surprise... Fifa ban free water in stadiums at the World Cup, despite previous assurances. It seems every thing must have a price...

For all of the effort they are going to with ‘drinks breaks’ for the players, this is such a strange, late change.
In all of our discussions, free water availability in stadiums was a key one and we were assured by FIFA that this would be the case, and that fans will have the ability to bring their own water bottle. The below graphic was shared.
Naturally, the immediate thought from supporters is this is just the latest money-grab.
For how hot the stadiums will be, many in open air, just let fans bring a bottle if they want to 🤷♂️
We hope the water fountains in stadiums will still be free, hopefully you aren’t charged in the queue!

We stood on this for our initial sewage @BBCPanorama in 2021, first revealing the widespread illegal dumping of sewage. As the new Tideway ‘super sewer’ doesn’t extend this far up the Thames I assume raw sewage (+wet wipes) is still dumped nearby. How long til the reef re-forms?

Seen the headlines today about the significant rise in sewage pollution incidents?
I’m not so sure pollution has SIGNIFICANTLY increased… I suspect it may have been this high (or higher!) for years but we didn’t have a true picture of what’s going on.
