This take from my @warpsciences co-founder Sol Reisberg is important—and a great read from an expert in the space.

💥 Introducing Warp Sciences, a new company applying AI and robotics to help the world develop new medicines faster.
We’ve raised a $215M Series A led by @lightspeedvp to bring frontier AI out of the browser and into the lab, and build scientific capacity here in America.
I co-founded Warp with my long-time friend @dpatil, FAIR co-founder @manohar_paluri, and drug hunter Sol Reisberg. The early team is full of incredible people like @bkspears9, who helped achieve Q>1 fusion at LLNL.
There's a great article about Warp and our mission by @RebeccaTorrenc5 at Bloomberg here: bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
We have a lot to build and a lot to prove. If you want to create frontier scientific AI models, put robots to work in the lab, do exceptional chemistry, and help the world discover new medicines faster, we’d love to work with you.
Come build Warp with us: warp.xyz/careers
I agree with @DaveARicks: large scale data collection via robotic labs will be a big part of the future of science.
Well said Vas. AI will help us conquer disease, but this will take time, effort and lots and lots of data that doesn’t exist, yet. I would add that robotic labs will begin to make scaling data more tractable. lnkd.in/p/g8qvP5qX
Super excited for @bobmcgrewai and Arda. What an incredible mission 🇺🇸
We started Arda in 2025 to speed up American manufacturing. We have spent the last year building with Anduril as our design partner. Today we are launching the company publicly on CNBC and announcing our Series A: $160M at a $1.5B valuation.
Our platform helps manufacturers design and operate manual assembly lines, putting designs into production faster now. Next we'll build automated lines that can be reconfigured as quickly as human workers, letting America make products that now require armies of workers in Asia.

My theory is biotech is about to turn into a national security thing and the west doesn't really get a vote
Beijing just floated blocking foreign buyouts of china's cell and gene therapy and siRNA platforms
And what's interesting is what they're NOT blocking. Licensing individual drugs is still totally fine
So you can sell the west a medicine, just not the platform that makes the next 100 of them
And the west has been buying like crazy lol.
Foreign deals for chinese biotech assets are at $120B through august, up 36%
Astrazeneca's $1B gracell deal, that CAR-T platform, probably doesn't happen under this draft
Same update hits AI tech too btw
we spent years fighting over who gets the chips.
Feels like the next fight is over who owns the platforms that spit out the next generation of medicines
Once biology is programmable it's not really a healthcare business anymore, it's infrastructure
Still just a draft tho, comments open till nov 15

I know that in a couple decades, rocket launches will be asymptoting to the regularity of plane flight. But at the same time, part of me hopes I never lose the sense of wonder each time I see one.
"The invention of the boat reduced the importance of swimming, but enabled the discovery of new lands."
Beautiful analogy from @ylecun about the opportunities and changes with AI, in mathematics and in science more broadly.
