Amidst @GovPritzker’s plan for Congressional Dems to implement some order to the chaos is a recommendation to allow the federal ban on intoxicating hemp to take effect and oppose any further delays.
Scoop: With Democrats headed to Congress with a resounding mandate for change, IL Gov. JB Pritzker - a potential 2028 candidate- is urging his party to advance an aggressive legislative and oversight agenda on Day One.
He has a 75-page roadmap.

If Scott Colom can hold his lead in Mississippi this ad might go down as one of the best in political history.
I spy Bernie Lyons from MABAS highlighting the deleterious effects of federal funding cuts on disaster response.
Dems won the referendum last night and already seeing the push and pull of who it was a mandate for: mods or DSA. The recipe is right there for you, congressional Dems.

✅campaign finance reform.
Don’t overthink it.

As you catch up on Annie Andrews: she had a really interesting health platform, with items like ending prior authorization, banning private equity firms from owning hospitals, shutting down the gaming of Medicare Advantage and more.

I don’t buy this. There’ll be no big picture conclusion to draw other than he won a tough primary, stayed relentlessly on message and avoided getting baited notwithstanding some of his more nuanced positions and it put him over the top in a swingy state.
Candidate quality matters.
Your mileage may vary on this, but a potential second order effect of Stevens doing this:
If Abdul wins but “underperforms” (relative to Benson, state generic ballot, national swing, etc.), this level of last minute intra-party sabotage could significantly undercut a pretty crucial argument for the center-left that progressives are less electable ahead of 2028.
“Sure, 20% of new moms got sent to a collection agency but no one went to prison over it for crissake! What am I, a sociopath?”
Some vintage Craig Kimbrel Cubs level closer material, here.
With 3 days left to #ElectionDay, here’s part of the closing argument from @RogerMarshallMD.

On Chicago’s best, highest sunlit day you can’t see fifteen feet in front of you down there. Would need a massive lighting investment.
Far north side Alderperson is asking how lower Wacker Drive can be made more bike/Divvy friendly during #ChiBudget2027.
No. Just no. Half the drivers don't even belong down there, stay above ground on a bike! Safer! And definitely more pleasant!

Wouldn’t have mattered. He signed HB40 that fall, lost the base and it was lights out.
Cuts both ways, though.
