The only way to do any of these is with #WindWaterSolar
The scientific basis for #California's #SB100 (Effectively #100% renewable electricity by 2045) & Exec Order B-55-18 (effectively 100% renewable all-energy by 2045 to eliminate air pollution+GHGs) #GCAS2018 @GovPressOffice @StanfordEnergy @StanfordWoods @100isNow @350 @TheRE100
Hey solar skeptics.
Note the 64 GW of rooftop PV built in 9 months. '
Requires 0 new land
Requires 0 fuel mining
Results in 0 pollution or GHGs over 35 years of life
Meanwhile you are proposing completely useless and wasteful carbon capture, direct air capture, blue H2, nuclear, biofuels.
If you really want to help, focus on what works.
Still crazy WWS growth in China
-Installed 180.65 GW WindWaterSolar and 31 GW/84 GWh batteries first 9 months of 2026
60.66 GW wind (for total of 700)
9.16 GW water (457)
110.83 GW solar (64.52 roof; 45.8 utility) (1,310)
31 GW/84 GWh batteries (167/435)

Nov 4 was the 220th day in 2026 with WindWaterSolar meeting > 100% of demand on the CAISO grid.
In 2025, the 220th day was reached on Dec. 28th
WWS output growth v demand growth by year
'23-4: +25.5 v +3.9 GWh/day
'24-5: +15.5 v -12.2
'25-6: +14.5 v +20.7
-------------------
'23-6: 55.5 more WWS v 12.4 GWh/day higher demand
In 2026, WWS has met 54.6% of all demand v 46.2% in 2023

What if powering more data centers started with the homes already connected to the grid?
On the latest episode of Climate Confident, @KrapelsMarco, SVP at Enphase, joins host @TomRaftery to discuss how solar and battery storage can help make better use of existing grid infrastructure as electricity demand grows.
Marco explores how equipping more homes with solar and batteries could help reduce their reliance on grid power, freeing up capacity for new demand while turning existing grid connections into thousands of flexible, dispatchable energy resources. This could help support data center development while reducing the need for additional behind-the-meter gas generation.

So much for the myth that long-duration storage doesn't already exist.
It has for a long time.
Many scientists did not even understand that it is possible to concatenate short-duration batteries to run one after the other to produce long-duration storage.
And the 17.3 GW of batteries on the CAISO grid, if bought new, cost only ~$0.003/kWh-grid-electricity produced, or 1/100th the retail price of grid electricity.
Record battery output of 60 GWh Mon 11/2/26 on the @CaliforniaISO grid.
4-hour batteries discharged all night - demonstrating long-duration storage.
Grid has 17.307 GW batteries, 24.415 GW solar, 12.453 GW wind, 1.41 GW geothermal, 1.14 GW small hydro, and more large hydro.
Battery output up 292% in '26 v '23
Gas down 42,4%
219th of 307 days (71.3%) and 16.9% of all hours in 2026 with WWS>100% of demand.
WWS has supplied 54.6% of all demand in '26.
Wind and solar stocks rise
"Shares in wind-turbine makers Vestas and Nordex are among the stock market's top gainers... So is Orsted..."
"Solar-power names are also up as investors venture back into the green-energy sector."

No Miracles are Needed to solve the climate / pollution / energy security problems the world faces - just common sense and focus

Canada can 'definitely' transition to renewables by 2050, expert tells youth climate trial
"Canada does not need to rely on fossil fuels, he testified Thursday, as he outlined how the country could meet its energy demands by tapping “humongous” resources and opportunities in wind, solar and geothermal, along with pre-existing hydroelectric capacity."
"Combine that with the electrification of energy and transportation and “Canada can do it,” Jacobson said of transitioning to renewables."
“Whether it actually does it by 2050 is more of a social and political question.”

No study has ever shown otherwise.
Yet, international organizations keep pushing these scam technologies.
Why?
