If you do want to help out financially, go to our website. As a federally registered charity, you get a tax receipt. We are completely reliant on donations, as we won't take government funding. Google our website, Coalition For Justice And Human Rights, or hit the link below: coalition4jhr.org/home/help-…

"The denial by Dreeshen comes as the city is seeing a sharp rise in “extreme speeding,” with the city reporting a 128-per-cent increase in drivers going more than 30 km/hr over the speed limit in 2025." Another MAGA motivated decision. #abpoli ctvnews.ca/edmonton/article/… – at Edmonton, Alberta

Spent much of my day in prisons. Helping people who are near a "Time served" situation. Upon guilty pleas, the time they spent in custody will warrant their release. This is critical, as without housing or treatment being set up, the chances of them reoffending are significantly higher. Otherwise, we get a dump-and-run situation late one evening. And that doesn't serve the person or community well. In my opinion.

This morning, I accompanied a youth to court. He has developmental delays and attends a specialized school where he receives additional support. One of the strengths of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is its flexibility in recognizing each young person’s individual circumstances, including their environment and developmental needs.

Foster parents are heroes! And have improved and stabilized the lives of thousands of children!
As we step back into session, I want to once again thank foster and kinship caregivers for their incredible compassion and dedication. Alberta needs more caregivers. To find out how you can share your heart and home with a child in need, visit alberta.ca/caregivers-just-l…

Oh fun! Alberta is spending 25.8 million to build new school buildings for schools that are either religious or religious adjacent… Including one is Sylvan lake. Whose student body is made up of almost 3/4 home schooled kids it supports the home schooling of.

At St Paul today. Helping a youth. Snow on the ground over here. Thankfully I have good snow tires.

Finished my third appointment this morning. A very busy morning starting at 6 AM. Took a homeless man to the hospital, then picked up a young man from the remand centre and took him to a sober living home, then met with a young mom who wants treatment.

Started early this morning. Dropped off a homeless man at the Cross Cancer. Now at the Edmonton Remand Centre picking up a youth who is moving to a sober living house.

So, okay with disagreements, even the odd insult. But when death threats start happening...yeah, time to shut down the conversation. Deleted my last thread. People certainly have the right to disagree. And unlike most people. I use my real name and contact information. So when people call me names..yeah thats okay. When people spew racism, ignorance and mocking taunts...not okay, but I have thick skin. But when nutbars start threatening me...

Tomorrow, I am taking a homeless man with cancer to the hospital. He has a bed and is beginning chemo. I wish him well, and he's all excited because he won't have to sleep under a stairwell or on a mat.

More ideological ranting. A truly zealot government. #abpoli
Starting January 4, every school in Alberta will proudly fly both the Canadian and Alberta flags, and any other flags will only be temporarily displayed when they serve a clear educational, commemorative or community purpose. Let’s teach our children to celebrate our amazing country and province. Read the full details here: alberta.ca/release.cfm?xID=9…

It doesn't rain; it pours. I am also helping a woman fleeing abuse who was denied support from Income Support. These are above and beyond the normal day-to-day supports we at the @coalition4jhr provide(safe transportation, clothing, prescriptions, diapers, etc.). I am trying to help house this woman for a night or two as well.

Yesterday I picked up two sisters, sexually exploited, from northern Alberta after being dumped in the ditch. Today I am trying to get them some food, clothing, and a motel for a couple of nights. If by chance anybody wants to help me, I can provide their email address directly, or you can send to me, and I'll forward. No worries if not.

Albertans told @UCPCaucus and @ABDanielleSmith: NO to transferring the selection of King’s Bench and Appeal Court judges to provincial governments. NO to abolishing the Senate. NO to a constitutional right to opt out of federal programs while keeping the associated funding. And NO to giving provincial laws priority over conflicting federal laws in provincial or shared areas of jurisdiction. Maybe now Danielle Smith can drop the ideological rants and start governing on the issues Albertans care about: health care, education, affordability and public services. #abpoli
