One of @GlblCtzn's priorities this year has been helping children access education, including those living through conflict and crises.
Global Citizens took 3.5M+ actions in support of this campaign. This week, countries stepped up for @EduCannotWait

The UK confirmed £80M for @EduCannotWait today in Geneva! 🇬🇧
This funding will help children whose education has been disrupted by conflict and other crises keep learning.
Thank you, @kirstyjmcneill and @FCDOGovUK! #HopeStartsHere

At #CHOGM2026, we announced a plan with @OctopusEnergy and the @oecscommission to accelerate island electrification. In Antigua and Barbuda, it will support a rise in renewables from under 20% to 86% of electricity generation by 2030. @commonwealthsec

At Global Citizen NOW: Perth, environmental defender Tishiko King took the main stage to make the case for putting First Nations voices at the heart of climate action.
A proud Kulkalaig woman from Masig Island in the Torres Strait, King is the founder of Just Futures Collab, an organisation working to shift funding and decision-making power toward First Nations-led climate solutions.
Ahead of COP31, King urged Australia to listen to the voices of its own island communities, particularly those on the frontlines of the climate crisis. As Australia prepares to lead negotiations at COP31 next week, her message was clear: The people protecting our lands and seas must have a seat at the table.
One year ago, 50,000 people gathered in Belém for Global Citizen Festival: Amazônia.
The campaign mobilized $1B+ in commitments. Now, INPE reports the lowest deforestation rate on record.
Progress is possible. The work to protect the Amazon must continue.
It's been a busy couple of weeks! After Global Citizen NOW: Perth, where we announced commitments to expand electricity access to 4.8 million households (roughly 20 million people) and support 3 GW of renewable energy capacity, GC is now heading to Antigua and Barbuda!
At #GlobalCitizenNOW Perth, 3 commitments linked clean energy and community impact:
🌍 5% of pilot revenue for local renewables.
⚡ Up to 5 Indigenous-led energy projects.
💧 12B+ litres of new Indigenous-led water supply yearly in WA.
At Global Citizen NOW: Perth, President José Ramos-Horta of Timor-Leste highlighted the need for a clean energy transition that keeps electricity affordable, strengthens energy security and creates jobs.

A week after @GlblCtzn NOW: Perth, WA has set a 75% renewables target for its main grid by 2030–31—a step towards affordable, reliable power & local jobs. Congratulations to @RogerCookMLA & also to Solutions for Climate WA’s alliance for their sustained work to bring this about.
Global Citizen NOW: Perth surpassed its clean energy goals: 4.8M households, 3 GW of renewables, 20M people impacted. Now comes the hard part: turning billions in commitments into action ahead of COP31.
14 Pacific countries. US$1B in potential investment. 3.7M people who could benefit.
At #GlobalCitizenNOW Perth, Marie-Ange Saraka-Yao of the Green Climate Fund outlined a plan including US$250M in grants to strengthen infrastructure, protect coastlines and improve water security

As World Polio Day approaches, it’s important to reflect on just how far GPEI has come in the last 38 years in efforts to eradicate polio. Here are some words from The Minister of State for International Development and Africa, @kirstyjmcneill. @resultsuk @RotaryGBI @FCDOGovUK
