I'm not sure anyone has interviewed Philip Rivers more over the last 6 seasons.

“When we get to candidates, that will heavily influence who gets the job. But that’s up to NC State. They’re changing athletic directors. A lot of stuff is changing there. It’s going to be a new era in Raleigh.”

"𝐍𝐂 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥."
🤔 Interestingly enough, ESPN's @MoveTheSticks (Daniel Jeremiah) hosted Rivers a few weeks ago to talk about coaching at the next level.
Today, Rivers is being listed at a top option for the now-open NC State job, and Jeremiah is urging NC State to give Phil a call.

"I have to surround myself with guys that have done it."
This is such a Rivers answer. Self-aware, no ego about the gaps...
Let's have some fun with this: if Rivers were to take the job, who's your dream OC and DC next to him?
Former NFL guys, proven college coordinators, or former Wolfpack guys?

Been hearing Rivers to NC State is a real possibility for awhile now.
With that being said, I didn’t expect the national media to be throwing out his name moments after the news broke of Doeren’s firing.

Wild timing. Boo said a year ago he doesn't believe in midseason firings. The Stanford loss changed that overnight.
Doeren gave this program a high floor for 14 years. Now the question is the ceiling.
Who's your top name for the next NC State head coach? We know ours😉
packinsider.com/2026/10/24/b…
29 assists. Darius Adams calling this the most connected team in the country. Ven-Allen Lubin wanting the bigs to "punch first."
It's an exhibition, but you gotta feel a little excited after this one.
What are your thoughts coming out of this exhibition?
