on a recent order, one chip had a 5 week lead time.
our agents found a dev board that had it, got the CM to de-solder them, and ordered them to meet timeline.
There's a lot of problems in domestic PCB manufacturing.
Working through the problems, solving them manually, then building around edge cases.
Now we're automating quoting and part procurement in a fragmented supply chain.
Aim: make ordering a circuit board as straight forward as possible.
ordering circuit boards is unnecessarily complicated and slow. Quoting in email, order status in spreadsheets, component tracking in different supplier portals, DFM reviews in PDFs.
