becoming washed isn't because of declining simple reaction time (very gradual). bigger issue is processing speed - bunch of new info, constantly evolving situation, make right decision val: 2 flashes, dart, smokes coming in, enemies dashing, teammates flooding in, etc. a cracked zoomer can read and make the right play faster. this is related to fluid intelligence. older gamers can make up with accumulated experience and knowledge, crystallized intelligence

Your body’s reaction time actually peaks at 24 and after that your reaction time only decreases by maybe a millisecond a year so a decade from then you’d only be 3% slower I think the real reason a big “fall off” happens is because meta changes,being lazy and not grinding as hard and a big part mental
