The further we get away from Monday, the more I miss the studio! New faces, new vibes, but the same fun.
Much love to @Fire_Burns99 Burns for stopping through, and a huge thank you to the Dallas Cowboys for being… well, the Dallas Cowboys! 😂
From the edit room to production meetings to finally getting in the studio, I’m blessed to do what I love and talk about the game that never gets old.
Appreciate everybody who continues to tap in with the @thepivot fam! #BTS

The Jaguars are led by @trevorlawrence and an explosive offense, but a closer look reveals the creativity of Grant Udinski and Liam Coen. Their scheme creates opportunities for key playmakers like @CPW11_ and @TravisHunterJr.
Washington came out of the gate hot before cooling off a bit, while Hunter has established himself as a star defensively and continues to find his footing on offense.
These clips from the Jaguars’ trip to London give you a closer look at how they’re making it happen.

Matt Barnes got to experience a different side of Kobe Bryant. The late legend let him in. They shared ideas about business, fatherhood, and life. Their relationship extended beyond basketball, even to supporting one another’s children.
That’s why @Matt_Barnes22 gets frustrated when he hears people disrespecting Kobe’s legacy. He’s tired of the “woulda, coulda, shoulda” conversations. And he has one question for those people: Why weren’t you saying these things while he was still alive?

Freddy T was one of them ones…and those of us who had to prepare to play against him, know that and dreaded the games we faced him. Ask any defensive player, they will all say the same- 28 was that guy 🏈

“All glory to God. The stuff I’ve been through in my career so far, the setbacks I had just to get to this moment. To be able to come out here and battle with this team, it’s nothing but God really.
I’m going to give it my all for this city, for this team. Make sure I do whatever I can to help this team win, get back to the winning ways. But it starts here and we can’t get content.”
Joe Burrow has the entire city of Cincinnati riding on his right arm. That’s a good thing, but when you throw it 48 times, mistakes are inevitable.
And they happened Sunday. Burrow threw three interceptions, but it didn’t matter. He accounted for SIX touchdowns in an overtime win over the Titans.
Absolute chaos. Absolute electricity. And Fricking Fun!

“I would like to say, with all these cameras here, that I would handle differently, but I don’t know…” Matt Barnes
We all have situations and decisions that are in the rear view mirror that we would like to have back to redo or re-approach, but given the opportunity, we have to ask ourselves honestly, what would we do differently? Matt Barnes keeps it 💯 with us about handling the situation with Derek Fisher, how the two evolved over the years and at the core what’s best for his kids.

Two things stand out to me about the 2026 Steelers.
First, this is old-school Steelers football. Jaylen Warren leading the ground game, backed by a defense that plays physical and sets the tone.
Second, this team looks more prepared for situational football than we’ve seen in recent years.
One I’ll show you on tape. The other I’ll explain the best I can!
Let’s get into it.

“F*ck that. They call you n*gger. Fight them”
Matt Barnes grew up searching for a place where he truly fit. When his family “had to bust a move” to a predominantly white school, he experienced racism for the first time.
His mom was the comforter, but his dad took a different approach. “Fight them”. That lesson shaped the man @Matt_Barnes22 is today.

“I may not always say the right thing or do the right thing but I know if I make a mistake, I’m not too big of a man not to apologize.”
From the streets to the NBA, Matt Barnes has never been afraid to stand on business. In this convo, he opens up about the side of his journey that goes far beyond basketball.
From his relationship with Kobe Bryant and the lessons of competing alongside greatness, to love, fatherhood, relationships, and the personal battles that forced him to look in the mirror, Matt gets real about what it means to grow, take accountability, and evolve as a man.
Known for his toughness and intensity, Matt reflects on the moments that shaped him, the mistakes that humbled him, and why true strength isn’t just about standing your ground — it’s about owning your actions and being willing to change.
Because the biggest wins in life don’t always happen on the court.

Ashton Jeanty is at a crossroads. That may seem odd to say just halfway through a top-six pick’s second season, but here we are. My former colleague Rex Ryan unloaded on Jeanty Sunday following his comments about the Jets’ defense last week. That was followed by a two-carry game.
Last year, I said he didn’t have “It.” A comment I regretted, but the reasoning behind it still stands. There’s been a lack of explosion and consistency in his game that you’d expect from a player of his pedigree. And judging by how his team is using him, it seems they may feel the same way.

RC having a tough week…Steelers 08 or Seahawks 26’, who you taking?
youtu.be/tvCQaTaAr0Q
The Seattle Seahawks are putting together the best defensive season of the 21st century, at least when measured by yards allowed per game. Sitting at No. 2? The 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers.
I started running through the names on that Steelers defense, and something felt familiar. Then I thought about the quarterback Seattle faces tonight. That 2008 defense had its own issues with a young NFC North quarterback, too.
Some matchups bring back memories. This one certainly does.
Seattle’s defense vs. Caleb Williams. This is gonna be ice cold. #MNF
