Earlier today, we detected evidence of a security incident on #AO3. We are still in the early stages of investigating. No AO3 data has been deleted. All your works, bookmarks, kudos, etc., are safe. Learn more at otwstatus.org/incidents/g12j…
We estimate that service restoration for #AO3 will take around 2 weeks but it could be up to 4 weeks. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the site back up in a degraded state sooner. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/

Re: Sharing of downloaded fics due to AO3 outage
Pls try your best to find the authors of fics you read while we’re surviving on pdf of fics. Writers are already sad when they publish on ao3 and receive little feedback. Now their fics are shared around completely untethered to
“Wattpad is here for you-“
I would rather gargle a ballsack full of nails than ever use that AI-infested, ad-riddled, obsessively censored hellhole of a website.

There are abhorrent levels of entitlement on social media lately: demanding to know why someone blocked you, forcing people to tell you their life story to ensure they're allowed to enjoy dark media, policing people's interests because you swear you're the “better fan.”
Do you know how bad the controversy is gonna get on here now that people won’t have ao3 to distract themselves with???? Fandom is going to be even more unbearable 😩

#AO3 maintenance is in progress. We expect it to take at least 12 hours, but it may take longer. We will provide updates as necessary. Refer to our status page for updates: otwstatus.org/incidents/g12j…

Hanahaki disease rabbot AU where they both have it for each other but since they're both stubborn, self-sabotaging old men, they keep on getting worse in silence. Robby coughs forget-me-nots (reminds him of Jack's dead wife), Jack coughs butterfly weeds (symbolise rejection)
