A day at the tenrec spa ✨🛀 Lesser hedgehog tenrecs sometimes use sand to clean their coats and remove debris from their spikes. Unlike traditional "dust baths," this isn't the only way tenrecs stay clean. But it's still insanely cute!

Why are Komodo dragons such powerful hunters? They can "taste" you coming! 😱 These apex predators use their forked tongues and Jacobson’s organs to "taste" the air and locate prey. Meet our resident Komodo, Charlie, out daily at the Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium.

Caring for little ones comes naturally around here. 🦓💙 Located in the northeast corner of the Zoo by the Conservation Carousel, the @stlchildrens First Aid Station is open during regular Zoo hours with Children's Hospital medical staff, a family restroom and lactation room.
