One Piece TCG and Vanguard are so similar. The skillset is similar, the "go through the motions as optimally as possible" aspect is the same, and both games have OTs The only major difference is OP almost never archetype restricts good cards, while VG always does

Tazer Lage discourse is weird I love how there’s almost no unplayable MUs in VG. But also, just get good and run answers to it… Especially if you’re playing super privileged nations like Keter and Stoi, it’s on you if you don’t have a solution to a card that owns you highkey

This is completely different to something like Fairoid or Angel Ladder or something which can’t be countered also Having to adapt to meta developments is part of the fun of competing

I feel like it’s romanticizing Vanguard a bit, but English Vanguard is truly the only TCG in the entire world to exist in spite of the developer’s efforts to kill it. No other TCG would survive Bushi incompetence for 15 years straight.

Despite a lot of improvement across the board with Vanguard, in a lot of places the last year or so has felt like a lot of one step forward one step back, which has made things feel really "samey" despite said improvement

First One Piece TCG locals since I quit two years ago Went 2-1 with BY Nami. Pretty good for first time back, could’ve went undefeated if I didn’t make 2 misplays in my last game Shanks 2nd W Moria 1st W Rocks 2nd L Yellow feels like VG, it’s so fun lol

I was so hyped for the Vanguard VFCs and then I saw there’s only 5 in NA, all in the US, 2 of which in Cali. And they all capped before Bushiroad even announced that signups are open… These should be in every location with a BCS/BSF at the very least. What a fumble from Bushi

Vanguard decks I have built then sold then built again: -Kairi (3 times) -Prison (4 times, once max rarity) -Eva (3 times) -Katana World (2 times) -Nirvana (3 times) Yeah I got problems 💀

BSF Philly with the same list Didn’t do too well in VG but had a lot of fun. Made top 4 at the Palworld Grand Release though… Most of my losses in VG can be attributed to me making one or two small mistakes turns earlier. Nirvana is really difficult but I’m sticking with it

BSF 2026 Toronto with Nirvana X-2 drop in singles, ended teams at 5-2 (team also 5-2) for 15th place. Also won the side event lol I won 2 out of 15 dierolls this weekend 🤠 Focusing on my mental was my goal this event, and I didn’t tilt even during the worst OT sack games

My mental was a bit worse this event, def lead me to making some misplays. Just gonna keep grinding I consider myself a casual but playing VG “correctly” is so satisfying lol
