Happy to receive “Chasing Goodfellas” today. Out now! I had the pleasure of interviewing the author Ed McDonald about a month ago. He told some great stories about the real life Goodfellas crew and playing himself in “Goodfellas” Interview under this post

There's a certain type of guy that can be a cop in Philadelphia for more than a year let alone 35 years. My friend and legendary officer Bill Hunter retired yesterday after serving over 35 years as both a cop and narcotics unit/SITE officer. He had a particular ability in plainclothes and high level wiretaps. Bill grew up in Kensington and became a cop in the same area he came up in. He would rise to becoming one of the most well known, no nonsense but fair cops in the city. He even was featured in various documentaries about cops in the city. Congrats Hunter and all the best in the future.
