The MSU family mourns the loss of Dr. Richard Holmes.
After graduating from Starkville’s Henderson High School, Dr. Holmes became the first African American student to attend MSU in 1965.
A two-time MSU graduate, Dr. Holmes was named MSU's National Alumnus of the Year in 2006.

RIP Coach Dennis Franchione. I appreciate him holding us over from Coach Slocum’s staff and allowing a young equipment staff to grow in a changing environment. Thoughts and prayers to Kim and the rest of his family.
