NEW: Donald Trump’s Republican Party has revoked CBC/Radio-Canada’s press access to its upcoming major midterm convention, citing the public broadcaster’s now-reversed policy not to refer to 9/11 as “terrorism” without direct attribution. Scoop from me and colleague Simon Tuck⬇️

A thought sent back in time from an undetermined moment in the future: If you dislike the Poilievre right, wait till you meet the post-Poilievre right.
My latest today in the National Post: “There is a growing chorus of Conservatives who want Pierre Poilievre gone. They should be careful what they wish for.” #cdnpoli nationalpost.com/opinion/ant…

Group B math is simple: Canada wins the group if it beats or ties Switzerland, Switzerland finishes 1st if it wins. The model shows both teams as having clinched advancment in *some* form, though that isn't strictly deterministic (it means they advanced in 100k of 100k sims).

Genuinely disconcerting to see my entire life squeezed into a minute-and-a-half long video.

Interesting. Early signs that work-from-home could be devastating for young people, who are not getting trained or supervised properly. Feels true to me. Most of my training came from eavesdropping on brilliant, older reporters in the newsroom.
Replying to @pj_lambert
BUT when we control for WFH exposure, this effect all but disappears in our baseline results. This is NOT the case with WFH exposure, which is a robust predictor of the fall in junior-share of hiring with or without AI
