Did Russell Brand use Katy Perry to catapult himself to fame?
After being wed for 14 months the pop starās relationship with the comedian collapsed, as witnesses alleged her celebrity made him envious.
Perry, 42, who is now in a relationship with the former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, has spoken relatively little about her former husband.
The pair first met in June 2009 when she recorded a cameo for Get Him To the Greek, the film that briefly propelled Brand to leading man status in Hollywood, and which also starred the disgraced rapper P Diddy.
Brand and Perry reconnected three months later at the MTV Video Music Awards ā when Perry got his attention by throwing a bottle at Brandās head ā and began dating.

Why are Iranians preparing for a nuclear explosion at Pickaxe Mountain?
Despite satellite photos cited by President Trump proving the existence of the underground complex known as Pickaxe Mountain, nobody knows exactly what goes on there. It is rumoured that the Ayatollahās top nuclear scientists are working at the site, which is located a little over a mile south of the Natanz uranium-enrichment facility and is believed to be beyond the reach of conventional weapons.
Now, as the Iranian regime grows increasingly concerned about a potential strike ordered by Trump, a video circulating on social media is instructing citizens on how to survive a nuclear fallout. The video asks viewers to imagine a nuclear explosion before listing distances to nearby cities like Tehran, Isfahan, and Kashan, and giving three simple survival instructions: āGet inside, stay inside and listen for updates.ā
