So Abdul El-Sayed repeatedly wrote op-eds defending the Muslim Brotherhood, advocating for the Muslim Brotherhood. When Mohammed Morsi took over Egypt, El-Sayed urged Morsi to purge the press and purge the police. El-Sayed’s sister has tweeted twice that their family has long supported the Muslim Brotherhood. And the single largest donor to the biggest super PAC supporting Al-Sayed is his father-in-law, who founded an Islamic organization that is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation criminal case that was a criminal case of funneling over twelve million dollars to Hamas for terrorist activities. I believe this man is Muslim Brotherhood, and I’ll tell you, Sean, one of the most frightening things. If he were to win, Senators don’t undergo a security clearance. By virtue of being elected to a constitutional office, you are deemed to have a security clearance. Chuck Schumer could place Abdul El-Sayed on the Senate Intelligence Committee. He would have access to the very highest level of classified materials, and I believed if that were to happen, there would be an unacceptably high risk that American servicemen and women, their lives would be endangered, and that our covert intelligence assets, their lives would be endangered, because there’s every reason to believe Abdul Al-Sayed would share that classified information with Muslim Brotherhood terrorists.”
