I don't judge the success of my comics based on the money (though I've made more than most). The only viable metric is audience satisfaction and I'm doing well by that standard. I'm not running a Youtube-Twitter-outrage business. I make comic stories... 320 pages a year.

@DougTenNapel got this the other day but didn't have a Twitter account lol. This is beautifully done and the nicest piece of art in my collection. I feel like I shouldn't throw away the box. Thanks again!
I wish I could show you the chaos behind the scenes of everything form the campaign to fulfillment... but that would be unprofessional. Must... maintain... the illusion... of control!

Thanks for the shout out, BF!
As 2019 winds down, everybody thinks it's a good time to compile a Top 5 list. @Staredcraft is no different. So here are his picks for the Best Comics of 2019, with a few pot shots at some he didn't like! Big props to both @DougTenNapel & @EthanVanSciver!

I gotta do about 3 months of hard-core work on BFB 2 to make it ready for prime time. I'm still in la-la mode but catch me in the last two weeks of any graphic novel and I'll be chewing my own arm off.
Well @DougTenNapel the mail lady texted out the box durability, when I got it there was a nice dent on the back. But the books where unharmed. Thank you for the great book, I’m ready for BFB#2 now.
But I think there is a real X factor to printing and international shipping where about 5% are flat out going to get a delayed book unless I create an artificially late date... and I don't want to make that cheese.
Congratulations to @DougTenNapel. I just got the email that all of your EWJ books are shipped. Not only was your project on time, but you managed to improve and innovate from the last campaign. You grew and provided your backers with far more value! I look forward to BFB 2.
I don't think shipping these books "on time" counts when it's the last day of the month, but we took it as some kind of win to wrap it all up by December. It should have gone faster, and we're all learning how to do it better next time.

And an hour later he’s listened to the entire story.
Longer than he normally listens to other picture books. ❤️
He enjoyed it a lot. Thanks again, @DougTenNapel
