51 years ago today the world changed. One of the most technically accomplished, commercially successful and culturally relevant movies ever made was released. That movie was #JAWS.

The Last Shark (1981) Shortly before release, Universal Pictures sued the producers, claiming it plagiarized #JAWS, and the Australian distributors, for breach of copyright regarding Peter Benchley's book too. Universal won an injunction, and the film was pulled from theaters.

#PatrickStewart, who has passed away at the age of 86, best known for his role as Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation but in 2002 he appeared alongside #JAWS star Roy Scheider in a western re-imaging of King Lear in the TV movie King of Texas. RIP Captain 🖖🏽
