In 2027, the most consequential #security decisions stop being made by people. Attackers will hand objectives to autonomous agents. Buyers will trust agents to build their shortlists. And every one of those requests still starts with a DNS lookup. Keep reading as @DNSFilter execs share 7 #predictions for 2027 👇 vmblog.com/bylines/dnsfilter… #AI #2027predictions #MSP

#Observability without feedback is just watching. 👀 @Ctrl_Theory CEO Bob Quillin tells @VMblog how #Dstl8, an AI SRE built on Telemetry Distillation, finds root cause and hands it to the engineer or coding agent that shipped the change. Don't miss what they have planned for #KubeCon in this latest Q&A: vmblog.com/qa/controltheory-… #CloudNativeCon #AISRE #OpenTelemetry

Same model. Same hardware. Different performance. The culprit is often placement, not the accelerator. #Kubernetes can find resources, but can't see how they're connected. Performance per watt needs a common language for device topology. 🔌 Learn more in this @vmblog article by Nayan Lad of @Qualcomm vmblog.com/bylines/performan… #AIInfrastructure #DRA #K8s #KubeCon

By end of 2027, anywhere an employee can give an #AIagent a goal can become a development environment. Citizen coders are building a second software estate outside repos and pipelines, and info stealers are already shifting toward agent credentials and configs. #Security is following #AI beyond the pipeline. 🔐 Read these #predictions from Dwayne McDaniel of @GitGuardian: vmblog.com/bylines/2027-cybe… #2027predictions

Your store's server just went down. Your customers are still at the counter. VergeOS runs each location as a Virtual Data Center that replicates to the core. When the site fails, the core starts it and BGP sends users there. The store stays open.

"Couldn't an #LLM just do this?" will be the first question in every software deal in 2027. Adeptia's Michael Bevilacqua on 4 #AI #predictions, from gross margin as an engineering decision to agent identity as the new security perimeter. None depend on a better model. vmblog.com/bylines/2027-pred… #2027predictions

62% of connections to browser-based #AI tools from managed workspaces came through personal accounts. With tenant restrictions? Just 5%. In 2027, the login becomes the control point for AI, and #governance moves from the device to the data. @Venn_Software's David Matalon shares 5 #predictions for 2027 vmblog.com/bylines/2027-pred… #2027predictions #shadowAI

#Kubernetes solved stateless scale a decade ago. #AgenticAI is exposing the stateful gap. Five or six data services per agent = an integration tax that compounds with every agent you ship. On October 21, government websites across Europe went dark. Dutch, French, Danish, and Finnish agencies took public-facing services offline after critical vulnerabilities surfaced in #PHP, the programming language behind approximately 75% of websites. The flaws had been sitting in the codebase for years until AI tools uncovered them. Although a fix has been shared publicly, #AI has made it easy for attackers to reverse engineer what changed. Amazon reported that its security team saw an exploitation attempt against a honeypot system on October 17, four days before the disclosure. Defenders were behind even before the advisory went out. In this post, Mark Kuhr and Nabil Hannan answers the broader questions #security teams are asking about how this story illustrates the new normal in offensive security. vmblog.com/bylines/5-questio… #cybersecurity #phpflaw

After a week in Palo Alto during The @ITPressTour with executives and thought leaders from @clockworkio, @Cohesity, @CTERA, @DDNintelligence, @Hammerspace_Inc, @Phison_USA, @ScaleFlux and @VergeIO_Inc, the same story kept surfacing from very different corners of the stack: the AI bill is real, the hardware is scarce, and the fix is mostly about not wasting what you already own. vmblog.com/bylines/it-press-… #ITPT #AI

Three systems. Three answers to “How many active customers do we have?” 41,200. 47,900. 44,600. All from the same warehouse. All “working as designed.” Building got cheap. Being wrong got expensive. Meet the blue tick for data. vmblog.com/bylines/building-…

2027 won't reward the teams that adopted #AI fastest. It'll reward the teams that can prove what their machines did. #Observability covers metrics, traces and logs. But carbon? Largely missing. SCI can standardize the calculation. #OpenTelemetry can standardize the signal. Together, carbon could become #telemetry engineers observe alongside the signals they already use. What we make observable, we can make actionable. Broadcom quietly pulled VMware's #VDDK, and migration plans took a hit. @Platform9Sys's Sirish Raghuram explains why proxy- and storage-assisted methods may be a better path for CSPs: a 250 GB disk cloned in 4 seconds, and a full migration in about 15 minutes.
