The iconic Lord Mayor's Show is back next month, bringing more than 800 years of history, pageantry and celebration to the streets of the City of London🇬🇧 Dating back to 1215, the tradition began when King John granted the City of London the right to elect its own mayor, on the condition that the newly elected mayor travel to Westminster to swear loyalty to the Crown. Over the centuries, that journey evolved into the spectacular procession we know today.
