The Tampa Bay Rays host game three of the World Series tonight, just over two years after Hurricane Milton destroyed the roof at Tropicana Field. For the 2025 season, the Rays had to play outdoors at Steinbrenner Field during Florida's rainy season. With the help of an onsite Weatherstem station and access to an on call meteorologist, the Rays managed to navigate the season without a single rainout. Learn more here: hubs.li/Q04C8cMf0

With real-time local weather data and an on-site alerting system, instructors and students have additional tools to stay aware of changing conditions during outdoor training.
We’re proud to support Sampson Community College in creating a more weather-aware learning environment.

High surf advisories are in effect along Florida’s entire east coast, and views from several of Weatherstem’s coastal stations show just how rough conditions are today. High surf and hazardous beach conditions are expected to persist well into the workweek as a low-pressure system spins off the East Coast.
