A driver in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, nearly drove into the Piedra River after ignoring a roadblock warning of a washed-out bridge, prompting authorities to scream at the driver to stop. The incident occurred following heavy rain that brought flooding to the region.

Devastating video shows the historic Pagosa Springs History Museum collapsing into the flooded San Juan River. The flooding across southwest Colorado was triggered by relentless storms that dumped record-breaking rainfall over the San Juan Mountains. Portions of the museum had stood along those very riverbanks since 1938, surviving nearly 90 years of change in the small mountain community.

Severe storms could bring damaging wind gusts over 65 mph, large hail and tornadoes to parts of Kansas and Oklahoma Monday evening. Here’s the latest outlook:
