Irregularities continue to taint the local body elections under @ncbn. We witnessed democracy being undermined from nominations through polling. The wrongdoing did not stop there. As during the municipal election count, officials are now being pressured during the ZPTC and MPTC vote count, with results being manipulated in several districts. Democracy is being undermined at every turn. Chandrababu may have won the election, but he has suffered a moral defeat. We may have lost the election, but we have won the hearts of the people. Power may help someone win an election, but it cannot earn the people’s trust. Democracy may be suppressed, but the people’s aspirations cannot be silenced. I salute our party leaders and workers—especially the women—who stood firm in defence of democracy despite obstacles, attacks and intimidation. We will continue this struggle with even greater determination. We will continue to fight for farmers. We will continue to fight for women. We will continue to fight for the youth. We will continue to fight for workers and employees. We will continue to fight for every citizen. We will continue to fight for democracy. Above all, we will continue to fight for a better Andhra Pradesh. Our fight continues. Our spirit remains unbroken. With the people’s blessings, we will move forward with conviction and unwavering faith.

I strongly condemn the illegal arrest and detention of YSRCP MLC and party General Secretary Lella Appi Reddy. Filing false cases, making arbitrary arrests and detaining those who peacefully protested alongside our party candidates and the public against electoral irregularities is an outrageous abuse of power. This reprehensible rule is reminiscent of the Emergency. After polling for the Parishad elections ended on Thursday in Vengalayapalem, Guntur Rural mandal, why were the ballot boxes, which should have been taken directly to Nagarjuna University, unloaded midway at Nallapadu? On whose orders were they unloaded? What happened to the security that should have been provided for the ballot boxes? When ballot boxes meant for the strong room were found in the middle of the road, our party workers, leaders and public caught the wrongdoing red-handed and protested peacefully. Do you respond by ordering a lathi charge against them? You commit irregularities, attempt to replace ballot boxes, and then file illegal cases against our people? Would you even go so far as to book an MLC for dacoity and theft? What could be more outrageous? In these local elections, you manipulated nominations, manipulated the scrutiny of nominations, rigged polling booths, enabled repeated voting and manipulated polling percentages. Now, are you manipulating ballot boxes even after polling has ended? Mr. Chandrababu, while you murder democracy in these local elections, will you arrest and jail anyone who questions these wrongdoings? @ncbn garu, using your power and the police machinery to suppress people will not conceal your electoral malpractices. The entire country is watching your undemocratic methods. People will not remain silent spectators. The State Election Commission (SEC), which is meant to protect democracy, has become subservient to @ncbn. The shocking incidents during yesterday’s municipal polling across the state, including in Pulivendula, show how the SEC is enabling election irregularities. Yesterday in Pulivendula, YSRCP agents were kept out of 70 of the 80 polling booths. TDP goons brought in from other areas went on a rampage with the support of election officials and the police. They attacked our party agents to stop them from entering polling booths. In some places, they dragged our agents out of the polling stations. These incidents took place with the police’s support. Voter slips were snatched from people, polling booths were captured, and votes were rigged and cast repeatedly. The video evidence of these incidents is clear. Agents from all 70 booths came to me personally, showed their agent forms to the officials, lodged complaints and protested. The entire state witnessed what happened. Yet the SEC’s response was shocking. Irregularities took place in 70 of the 80 booths, and our agents were attacked and forced out. In these circumstances, how was it fair for the SEC to order repolling in only four booths and then wash its hands of the matter? The SEC’s decision to order repolling in only four booths in Pulivendula, despite irregularities in many more, was an eyewash meant to mislead the public. Can these elections be called free and fair? If the Election Commission, which is responsible for protecting democracy, turns a blind eye to the ruling party’s wrongdoing, how can people’s right to vote be protected? How can the public retain faith in the electoral system? These incidents were not limited to Pulivendula. Election irregularities took place across the state, including in the municipal corporations of Kadapa, Anantapur, Tirupati, Kurnool, Chittoor, Ongole, Guntur, Nellore, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. Similar incidents occurred in several municipalities, including Macherla, Chilakaluripet, Vinukonda, Jammalamadugu, Nandyal, Chimakurthy, Giddalur, Emmiganur, Sullurpeta, Palasa, Dhone, Naidupeta, Nandigama, Jaggayyapeta, Kuppam, Puttur and Parvathipuram. We will fight these election irregularities in court to protect democracy. We will place every piece of evidence before the courts. Justice may take time, but truth and justice will ultimately prevail. #CBNJungleRaj

అనంతపురం జిల్లా, రాప్తాడు జిల్లా పరిషత్‌ ఉన్నత పాఠశాలలో పదవ తరగతి విద్యార్థినిపై ఏకంగా తరగతి గదిలోనే పిల్లలంతా చూస్తుండగానే అత్యంత అనాగరికంగా చైన్ రంపంతో జరిగిన దాడి, రాష్ట్రంలో ఈ వెన్నుపోటు పార్టీ ప్రభుత్వంలో పూర్తిగా దిగజారిన శాంతి భద్రతలు జంగిల్‌రాజ్‌కు అద్దం పడుతోంది. ఒక దుండగుడు యథేచ్ఛగా ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలలోకి చొరబడి, తరగతి గదిలో బాలికపై ఇంత దారుణంగా ఎలా దాడి చేయగలిగాడు? విద్యా సంస్థల్లో పిల్లలకు తగిన భద్రత కల్పించడంలో వెన్నుపోటు పార్టీ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రదర్శిస్తున్న తీవ్ర నిర్లక్ష్యానికి ఈ ఘటన ఒక నిదర్శనం. ఆ దాడిని అడ్డుకునేందుకు ప్రయత్నించిన మరో విద్యార్థిని కూడా గాయపడటం అత్యంత దురదృష్టకరం. పాలనను పక్కన పెట్టి రాజకీయ కక్ష సాధింపులు, ‘రెడ్‌ బుక్‌’ పాలనకే ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తే, నేరస్తులు ఇలాగే చట్టమంటే ఏ మాత్రం భయం లేకుండా చెలరేగిపోతారు. గాయపడిన విద్యార్థినులకు అత్యుత్తమ వైద్య సేవలందించాలి. వారి కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు పూర్తి భరోసా కల్పించాలి. దాడికి పాల్పడిన వ్యక్తిని వెంటనే అరెస్టు చేసి, పారదర్శక దర్యాప్తు ద్వారా న్యాయస్థానం ముందు నిలబెట్టాలని డిమాండ్‌ చేస్తున్నాం. రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా పాఠశాలల భద్రతా విధానాలను అత్యవసరంగా సమీక్షించాలి. ఈ ఘటనకు @ncbn, @naralokesh పూర్తి బాధ్యత వహించాలి. #CBNJungleRaj
