“Ancient wisdom does not become valuable simply because it is ancient. It becomes valuable when we discover its relevance to contemporary problems,” Dr Priti Adani, Chairperson, Adani Foundation, said in her keynote address at the inaugural session of The World Symposium on “Ancient Wisdom for Modern Challenges” in Varanasi. She called for civilisational knowledge to be preserved and applied to address suffering, inequality and conflict. “Knowledge gives us the power to change the world. Wisdom assures us that we change it for the better,” Dr Adani said. Dr Nirupam Bajpai, Senior Research Scholar at Columbia University’s Center for Sustainable Development, highlighted Varanasi’s historic role as a meeting place of ideas and spiritual traditions. Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, GoI, spoke about the enduring relevance of India's civilisational heritage and the potential of AI to unlock ancient knowledge. Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs, economist and President, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, highlighted India's growing role in the global economy and acknowledged Adani Group’s contribution to the country’s infrastructure-led growth.

From being a student who once struggled with stage fear, Rahul Modi gradually found his confidence in an environment where he was encouraged to express his views and think independently. Years later, he went on to win the Best Poster Presentation Award at a World Ayurveda Conference, with an opportunity to discuss his idea with the Chief Minister of Goa. Today, Rahul works with Himalaya Wellness Company, carrying forward the confidence and sense of responsibility that he says his school years helped instill in him. He fondly remembers teachers like Jatin Sir and Shubhangi Ma'am, whose influence continues to stay with him. Adani Vidya Mandir takes immense pride to have been a part of Rahul's journey, from helping him find his voice to seeing him take it to bigger platforms today. The school serves marginalised communities, offering free education to thousands of first-generation learners from underserved backgrounds.
