I highly disagree with this take and see inference more like early days of energy. Maybe short term a supply shock but we lack a lot of compute from research to the entertainment industry, the demand is near infinite even with model intelligence slowing down

I think we’re going to see a lot of stranded compute in partially complete data centers

thats my view over the next few years, some short term fluctuations are a distraction there is a massive shortage on colocation and hardware currently, imo more likely prices continue going up while the world starts to adopt ai

As frontier labs subsidies going down, majority of companies will be forced to pivot to open weight models that will be 70-80% cheaper for 95% of the performance Inference is like energy, study Jevon paradox. Use @engyai

On Terminal-Bench 4.0, which evaluates coding agents on realistic, resource-constrained terminal tasks using strict task-specific tests, K3.1 Pro scores 65.7%, ahead of GPT-6 Astra (58.2%) and narrowly behind Claude Opus 5.5 (66.4%).

Builders should be max incentivised, dont get mistaken by a few subnets virtue signaling because they extracted 50m usd + while failing to build anything meaningful in the hope for a small pump

eTao is a good update that will have mixed effects: Bad actors will expedite extraction but increasing owner share/flexibility on miner and validator side will attract more talent and make it possible to grow faster
