From The Stands is actually From The Photo Deck this week:

Illinois is 24-10 over the last three seasons, the fourth-best record in the Big Ten since the conference expanded behind only Indiana, Ohio State, and Oregon.
Clock math. Three 5 second plays are 15 seconds. They only we have one time out so that’s two other 40 second runoffs. So 1:35 will runoff and you should be able to kick the field goal with 15 seconds left.
Couldn’t be set up any better. 5:45 left on the clock, tie game, ball at the 26. One steady drive can win the game.
Things you can type after a 64-yard touchdown run.
Javari Barnett has 170 yards on his 23 carries this season so... 7.4 yards per carry for the freshman.
The pressbox announcer just called Joe Barna "Joe Bama" so that's his new nickname now. Those are the rules.
I mean, when you think about it, rn kind of looks like an m.
That one's on me. I went down to the stands to see a friend at halftime. When I got back to the pressbox, Maryland scored three plays later.
Pin that one on me. I'll do better. Won't leave this seat (unless I have to pace, which, at this point, I hope I do).
Windmill tilt:
On that Maryland punt out of bounds, the side judge came running up the sideline (as is standard practice) until the white hat points to where she crossed the spot where the ball landed. He pointed... and then she moved forward 3 yards to spot the ball on the 20.
This will forever bother me. It gained Illinois 3 yards in this situation, so it was a positive for the orange and blue, but the "who cares if it's accurate - spotting the ball on a yard line makes the next set of downs so much easier for us" attitude bothers me so much. We'll measure to see if someone arbitrarily gained an inch but then move a ball nine feet to make "did he get a first down" easier? Why is this OK?
It's a very simple procedure here. White hat watches where the ball bounces. He stands in the spot where the punter kicked it. Once she crosses the line between him and the bounce, he points and she spots it there. Why are they then allowed to move it to a line?
All that stuff I wrote last night about "Maryland has the 4th-worst rushing defense in the B1G - I really think we can establish the run."
Through 19 minutes of football, 12 carries for 36 yards. :(
I couldn't see on the TV screen in the pressbox - was the Dixon drop deflected slightly by the DB or did he just flat drop it?
And your reminder of how bleak it was:
First seven games: 4 takeaways
First quarter of this game: 2 takeaways
A third of our takeaways this season have happened in this quarter.
The crowd as the ball is kicked. It’s the smallest crowd at any game I’ve attended, and I was in Memorial Stadium for Illinois-Northwestern in 2017.
