Prince Harry's public plea to reconcile with King Charles and Prince William is backfiring, according to multiple royal experts who say the palace simply doesn't trust him anymore.
Harry told GQ he wants to make peace with his father and brother, saying "the most important thing is to reconcile." But royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital the move is self-defeating: "The peace offering is already undermined as it is public. He cannot be trusted."

Thatcherism stands for sound finance; it stands for honest money, not inflation; it stands for living within your means; it stands for incentives, because we know full well that the economic strength of a nation comes from the efforts of its people, and its people need incentives to work as hard as they possibly can. All of that has produced economic growth.
It stands for something else: It stands for the wider spread of ownership of property, of houses, of shares, of savings; it stands for being strong in defence, a reliable ally and a trusted friend.
People have called those 'Thatcherism'. They are, in fact, fundamental commonsense, and having faith in the enterprise and abilities of the people.
It was my task to try to release those. They were always there. They have always been there in the British people but they couldn't flourish under socialism.

Dear everyone in Britain, ( even you illegals)
Just so you understand. The poppy is for the boys who never got to grow old. For the boys who were still somebodyโs baby, brother, uncle or father. More than 600,000 of them.
It doesnโt matter if you support war, hate your country, think you are a woman (even though you are a man). It doesnโt matter which God you pray to, or if you pray to none at all.
It doesnโt matter who you vote for, what climate narrative you believe, or whether you believe Israel should exist or not!
The poppy isnโt for you!
Itโs for those who came before. Those who fought for your right to be weird, annoying or even foreign.
The poppy is how we say thank you. Thank you for giving us time, peace and choice.
And attempting to ban our poppy by declaring it politically divisive isnโt a move towards freedom. It is an act of suppression. Understand that.
The poppy is about love and loss. For you!
So stick your rainbow flags and every other flag where the sun doesnโt shine and just wear your poppy. Those boys did not die as symbols. They died for you!
Did you know that poppies grew across the battlefields where so many fell? As though even the land refused to forget the blood once given to defend it.
So the poppy is for them. For those who came before us and paid in youth, in hope, in breath, in blood, so that we might have the freedom to be arseholes.
So that we might even have the freedom to fight over the ridiculous, the inconsequential and the insane.
Revere it, celebrate it and wear it. The very least you can do is that.
Best
The ordinary people.

This post goes some way to explaining the dire financial straits the UK is in...
"Britain has almost run out of taxpayers, or at the very least, itโs slowly running out of people who pay enough taxes to plausibly finance the state."
"...in 1998, about 43 per cent of British earners paid sufficient tax to cover the Governmentโs average per-capita spending. During Covid, that figure fell to an absolute low of circa 20 per cent, then by 2025 recovered modestly to 26.6 per cent."
No wonder if fewer than 27% of people are net contributors to the state

Dear Andy, you do know this is untrue, donโt you?
Highest energy bills in the world are due to:
* Reckless pursuit of net zero
* Blowing up our coal-fired power stations
* Failing to exploit our own fossil fuels
* Insane dependency on foreign oil and gas. The phrase โover a barrelโ springs to mind
* Paying Norway ยฃ20 billion plus a year for oil and gas we could get out of our own North Sea
* Subsidizing renewables to the tune of billions by slapping green taxes on bills
* Putting an eco-cult and leftist ideology before the comfort and warmth of the British people
* Allowing good jobs to be lost in pursuit of all of the above
* Claiming your government wants to โreindustrialiseโ while creating conditions no manufacturer could succeed in
* Closing refineries and gas storage so the UK is uniquely vulnerable this winter and likely to have serious power cuts.
Youโre welcome.
@andyburnham
I want to be honest about how weโve got to a place where British billpayers are paying some of the highest energy costs in Europe.
Over the past 40 years, weโve given up control of our necessities, outsourced our essentials and privatised the basics. Water, transport, housing. And of course, energy.
Now the public are paying the price. We havenโt invested in the infrastructure we need. Conflict overseas has pushed up energy costs and itโs hurting our businesses and families.
Thatโs why we need to take back greater control of our energy system.
This week, I announced Great British Grid, which will speed up connections and push down bills.
Weโre also giving mayors, local leaders and communities a stronger role. With funding for Peopleโs Power projects, communities will be able to build solar panels on libraries and town halls, hydro schemes in rivers or publicly owned windfarms on local land.
But itโs not just energy we need stronger public control over. Itโs also water, housing, transport and care.
So weโre repealing the ban on public ownership of water companies. Weโre building more council homes than this country has seen since the end of World War Two.
Weโre reforming the leasehold system so families arenโt squeezed for every penny. And weโre opening up home ownership for first time buyers who canโt rely on the bank of mum and dad.
This week I also announced my determination to introduce a National Care Service, to put people above profit and to give pensioners peace of mind.
Together, weโll rewire the country from top to bottom so that it works for all people in all places.
That is the only way to put Britain back on the right path. Itโs the only way to put power back in peopleโs hands. And itโs the only way we will bring hope again.
